Oh, I can hardly wait until Sonic/DMC myself. Dante's series should
struggle much like Halo, GTA, and KH have so far (only worse, since
it'd be the weakest of the four!). Indeed. I wish it would do better, but that one is going to be ugly!! --- "Building the future and keeping the past alive are one in the same thing." -- Solid Snake |

Kingdom Hearts is in no way a lock to be stronger than Devil May Cry. In no way. This "old school power" is propaganda spread by The Plan. Foolishness! I cannot think of any reason for Devil May Cry to be stronger than
Kingdom Hearts. Heck, I bet DMC couldn't even double Harvest Moon! Oh, I went there! --- SC2K6 Nominations: Squall, Roxas, Serge, Seifer, Laguna, The Prince of Persia, Nightmare, Sub-Zero, Captain Falcon, Raiden I don't necessarily believe that, but I went there! |

"Yeowch, big gain for Warcraft." There's a strong probablity that it's just a spike. They do come up in most matches after all. It seems like, for no reason, sometimes a 5 minute set ends greatly out of expectations just due to random varience. All told, I do say wait at least another update to see if it's not just "oops, randomly weird sample data" --- Take a hike, and don't forget the trail mix *****. Europe accounts for about 15% of the site Even if Europeans are far more commonly found on GF now rather than at other times they still don't make up a majority of users currently on in all liklihood According to Ceej only about 60~65% of Koreans actually voted for Starcraft... so even in places where there is a known haevy favorite it still fits pretty close to the expectations of the match as a whole. Seriously, GTA could be God's gift to Europe and it'd still be a better performer in the day. This is not its time. --- Take a hike, and don't forget the trail mix *****. +26 isn't nearly as mentionable as +47. Considering how the rest of the
world doesn't work in 5 minute blocks it could mean WC is putting some
fight into it or it could still be randomness. WAY too dodgy. *shrugs* If it would have been 12~ we'd know there was spike, if there were 40+ again we'd know it's a fight... inbetween means nothing solid. --- Take a hike, and don't forget the trail mix *****. According to Ceej only about 60~65% of Koreans actually voted for Starcraft I get this sneaking suspicion that a huge chunk of those "korean" voters were american troops stationed over there. Console industry has been practically dead since Chrono Trigger days, and Zelda was never popular over there to begin with. Heck, Gordon Friedman would mop the floor with Link if only we (sorry no korean-americans) were allowed to vote. I've never even seen a Gamecube or N64 being sold at any stores in Seoul. So my conclusion is, this "asian votes" are phantom, votes coming from over there are more likely just extensions of general american night votes. --- bnet ID: KailaYu |

They have the internet in Korea, I hear. I'd bet that compared to even
the normal launch prices in Europe importing a Japanese PS2 to Korea
shouldn't be that hard. Hmm... perhaps this is why so many Koreans play StarCraft in the first place. They didn't have consoles and for along ass time there were hardly and good games released on the PC. So obvious! --- Take a hike, and don't forget the trail mix *****. The asian economics crisis (commnly known as imf here) hit South Korea
harder than any other country back in 1997, so naturally people stopped
playing games I guess, aside from PC games that didnt require $500
videocards to run. Plus the government banned majority of Japanese
imports including videogames back in the 90s probably nailed the coffin
for the console industry. Oh yeah that and the optical fiber cables. I
agree with you, multiplayer games were horrible for PC before perhaps
Warcraft 2. I find it funny that CJayC had to mention voting trends
from Korea, because we are probably too insignificant in numbers to
make any difference on gamefaqs, there must've been a lot of
cheating/stuffing accusations made. --- bnet ID: KailaYu |

GTA's taken 54 vote away in the past 15 minutes. It might be able to
keep this up until the real morning vote begins to kick in. Warcraft
only has a 405 vote lead, so it shouldn't take much for GTA to get the
lead back if the day vote favors GTA by a bit. --- "Building the future and keeping the past alive are one in the same thing." -- Solid Snake |
