Well, that's why I like to make the distinction between 'getting' and
'winning' the day vote. Yeah, Halo's doing better in the day, but the
fact that Castlevania is still increasing its lead outright is
absolutely astounding. Castlevania is increasing its lead at ALL times
of the day. Even the most staunch Castlevania supporter wouldn't have
given you that prediction 24 hours ago. --- Commit it to memory. |

People are trying to use this match to say that Sonic > SSB? I still don't buy that. It's true, Castlevania is winning this match because of its series, but it's because of the diversity of the series and the edge it has over Halo being Xbox. Looking at how Castlevania is still
tagging Halo throughout the day, it looks pretty obvious that the
Nintendo fanbase is behind the series. And again, we didn't have that
much data on Halo to verify it as a powerhouse. It had one
match against Starcraft where both sides had tons of rallying. This is
more likely due to Halo being overrated than Castlevania being stronger
as a series, although the series thing was the nail in the coffin. Sonic doesn't have nearly the same advantages as Castlevania does, besides number of games. Sure, Sonic has the old school and new school fanbases, but I'm kinda wary of how any of those games would perform on SSB. There's something screwy with Sonic 2/SMW, and although it's probably generational, we still don't know. I doubt the 3D Sonics will make an impact since SSBM would probably do the same thing to them that SMW did to Sonic 2 (unless you think the Dreamcast fanbase is that significant <_<;). And SSB holds the advantage that its games are actually popular now. Question of the Day: How much does Sonic have to get on DMC before
you consider it a very real threat to Super Smash Brothers? How much
does it have to get before you call it the favorite? Sonic would have to double it up for me to consider it a threat. Devil May Cry is basically two games, and I doubt there is much diversity between DMC and DMC3. Of the 2 [major ones] I know of, there was very minimal rallying that I could find, even less was people who seemed to care. most staunch Castlevania supporter wouldn't have given you that
