Since today's a big day for Halo, I got to looking at our good friend
HBO (of Frog/MC and Arbiter/Mega Man fame)...and it looks like --
besides Donkey Kong and Crono -- that it had linked to MC/Halo in every
match it's ever had here. Not just that, but some GotY polls and
what-are-you-looking-forward-to polls. Worth thinkin' about, when you

This match is currently almost 700 votes in front of MG/SC, which isn't bad. And if Alucard gets about 53.5% of the vote until 9 AM, and this match stays at least even with MG/SC in terms of votals, Castlevania will lead Halo by about 2850 by 9 AM. I, personally, think CV can start nabbing a higher percentage during the dead zone, and hold of the Chief's day vote longer, which puts Castlevania in a rather favourable position. --- Mustache...and green... http://www.rit.edu/~zmb0386/RPGuy.jpg |

I don't really care too much about my bracket, to be quite honest. And
I think much of Board 8 would be willing to sacrifice a point or two
for a good match (even if a point costs you any prize money in this

If CV doesn't have a 3,500+ lead by the time I wake up tomorrow for
work (10:45 AM Eastern), then I'm not going to worry about Halo coming
back. Alucard/CV should drop worse than DK or Frog in most situations,
this is Halo and Halo 2 as opposed to Halo or MC, Xbox hate has
seemingly died down some, and the 360 may have helped bring afew more

more than 3000 votes come the morning, and at no point during the 2004

Figures, my Oracle pick was Halo with 51.30%. If these trends continue,
I appear to have the right percentage but the wrong winner. Of course,

The actual lead for Castlevania will definitely be slowing down due to lower votes throughout the night. I too find it humorous that people are simply assuming that Halo is
going to get a 4,000 vote swing in it's favor tomorrow morning no
matter what. That's a huge ass vote swing. Sure it's Halo, but it's not
something to be taken for granted. I can't believe CV has a 900+ vote
lead 75 minutes into the match and people are saying confidently saying

At least I'll only lose 1 point from this (took KH over Halo). Then again, that should be enough to seal the bracket coffin. Of course, Halo could still pull a Halo, since this is when the hardcore gamers vote (aka Halo haters). Captain Obvious AWAY! --- And that's The Word. |
