Explanation of Extrapolated Standings:
http://sc2k5.com/drupal/node/11

Simple Explanation of Extrapolated Standings:
A = Strongest Character
B = Character Weaker than A
C = Character Weaker than B
To figure out a character's Xsts Percentage ---> [(CvB)(BvA)]/50 = CvA
To compare how C would do against B ---> [(CvA)/(BvA)]*50 = CvB
To figure out how B would do against A ---> [(CvA)/(CvB)]*50 = BvA

At Castlevania's current pace, it should break the 3000-vote barrier by morning. But MC/DK swung by a lot more than that.

That was towards the end of the polls back then -- it's now the very beginning of polls, so CV's number SHOULD be much higher. Then again though, one would hope earlier poll times would help Halo out more than this too right now...but it's also too early to tell.

Yeah, I know. I can't tell which factor is more important - it's early and more Halo types will be awake (plus board bracket votes - clearly the reason Halo lead initially), or if this is really just like the first night vote, which I would expect CV to take.

What I'm really going for is to see if CV is winning during Halo's strong time, but it seems to be mixed there. Frog was gaining minimally on MC, but MC was gaining minimally on DK, and Sora was gaining a bit on Alucard, too. It's really rather hard to draw a conclusion from that.

Okay, MC/DK swung by 3600 votes. With the inflated vote totals of this cotnest, CV will need to hold a 4000+ lead throughout the afternoon to be safe.

I'm not exactly sure here... but isn't Halo pretty damn popular in Europe? I know for the old poll time it would have been 8 AM for GMT. Now it's 5 AM when it first starts, this would only increase the strength of Halo's morning/day vote, no?

How many casuals are really up and ready to vote at midnight?

The rest of America would be 9, 10, and 11 PM. Of COURSE this new time makes the night vote more casual. Which really hurts Halo.

Does the higher seed really matter when it's Halo vs. Castlevania? Honestly, the casuals aren't going to look at the seeding (heck, there wasn't actually seeding on the bracket entry anyway) in this scenario.
