Why are people calling SFF all of a sudden? Were people really
expecting this to play out like a match between the characters would? I
reiterate that the voters know the difference between a games contest
and a character contest. I bet that Kirby really isn't getting SFF'd at

I agree with mnm completely, if it weren't for the big bad LoZ I'd say
this part of the bracket would look completely normal, I seriously

SFF affair. Namely, Metroid/Pokémon. Why would Metroid SFF Pokemon though? Honestly, I have no idea why it would occur. Samus completely failed to SFF Ganon, a Nintendo series that has a lot more in common with Metroid than Pokemon, an rpg, does. When Metroid/Pokemon goes down, I expect everything to be completely legit. Hmm... unless people want to argue about SFF (which is arguable from
almost any standpoint in this case), it's already clear that Kirby's
strength doesn't come from his games. Think there might be any...

I dunno, I have a hard time believing Samus wearing Kirby's ass as
shoes as we speak is entirely legit. If it can happen to Kirby, why not

Can you tell me where in the hell Mega Man would draw his
strength from if it weren't from the Mega Man series? It's not as if he
has some awesome character design, or badass persona about him. I'm
ignoring Sonic, because you could argue he has much more of a character
outside of his games being popular, but regarding solely Mega Man, I
just can't fathom someone so generic drawing from anywhere else other

| Kirby has SSB and an extremely unique character design that endears people to him. You're not going to tell me that Sonic and Mega Man have fans because of *anything* other than their games. If Mario Kart wins it'll be on its strength, not Mega Man's weakness. Same goes for Super Smash Brothers and Sonic. Period. |

Kirby at least has something like SSB and SSBM giving him strength
outside of his games. Characters like Sonic and Mega Man (especially

But his games themselves aren't really that popular. I've been arguing from the beginning that games are much more popular than characters.
