I have played every Bioware game made except MDK2. My favorite developer =( I Hope Dragon Age is good. Yeah, bioware is quite an awesome company. I mean come on, how can someone not like the company that developed BG, KOTOR, and NWN? People gave this upset more credibility than Devil May Cry over Sonic? Tsk! DMC may end up losing, but I can guarantee it won't end up losing this bad! Oh yeah! ... what? I had to. Name drop DMC > Sonic as much as possible. On a non cheap shotting note, I think it's weird that people are using this match as a pro FE device. I think Silent Hill has more claim to this match looking good for it than FE does. Just because Star Ocean and FE seem similar to me. Both do fairly poorly in polls, though not typically abysmal, both are what I'd call somewhat obscure RPGs, both are suffering from "general recognition disadvantage". I have played Baldur's Gate II. In fact I just beat it 3 weeks ago. Only took me two and a half years...started in Jan. 04 according to my earliest save. Then I stopped in July 2004 because I didn't have the time to play games anymore (didn't realize it had been quite that long a hiatus). So it took just under 3 years to beat the series (started and finished BG1 from Aug 03-Sep 03). They've been the only non-multiplayer games I've really played in that time. Yeah, bioware is quite an awesome company. I mean come on, how can
someone not like the company that developed BG, KOTOR, and NWN? Neverwinter Nights sucked IMO. I played it before playing the BG games, and I liked the BG games better. NWN had good gameplay but the plot was just awful. It had the lamest villains I can think of in an RPG. Too much talking...and most of it bad. I have nothing against Silent Hill, but I don't see how it can win. It's a battle between two cult series, only one is far
more cult than the other here on GameFAQs. If anything, Fire Emblem may

My stance on the matter is that they're both so cult in their true
followings here on GameFAQs that it's not gonna matter much, and that
the generally more recognizable Silent Hill will take the votes of the
ambivalent for the win. It's like when we were comparing Pokemon GSC's sales with Pokemon RBY's sales. Looking at the higher vote totals, I think that would be an advantage for Silent Hill. I think it is much easier to ask for these people to have at least heard of Silent Hill through the advertising and promotion of the movie than to be hardcore Fire Emblem fans, or even know or care enough about Marth and Roy to identify the phrase Fire Emblem. a bit more well known No, Way more known. No, a bit more known. Silent Hill's sales are even less impressive than Star Ocean's. SH isn't the casual giant some people make it out to be. The only advantage SH has in that match is the movie, and relying on a movie to win a match is probably a bad idea. --- Pity for the guilty is treason to the innocent. |
