Wait...people actually thought this would be close? I always thought Star Ocean was incredibly weak. Arguments for SO weren't so much because of any potential strength SO might have as they were for pokemon being weak. I completely expected Pokemon to do better with the night vote than SO,
which I don't think many people would agree with, but I assumed younger
kids would go "lol pokemon is kiddy and dum" and vote for SO, still

I still can't see Pokemon as having any viable strength, though we'll
obviously never know thanks to the beating Metroid will get it (and the
I won't be able to sit down for a month Zelda will give that). I do wonder how it'll compare with Kirby, though. |

You know did everyone(including myself) forget Pokemon might of gotten a huge gain anyway from the Nintendo Uber Boost? Already accounted for. Still didn't expect an absolute thrashing, although I'm not that surprised. I had zero faith in Star Ocean being to win this match. I highly doubt Pokemon's percentage is going to stay this high. I would not be surprised to see it fall below 60%. Still, I think this little burst proves a couple of things. | Xenogears has one of the most rabid fanbases of all time for a single videogame. Star Ocean has nothing. The only real arguement for it was that SO3 sold 600k, yet about half of those people hated it anyway. |
