if you picked Crono, I'm sure most of us wouldn't even nominate him. the point is to get someone you want into the contest.

This kind of statement has been made a number of times and it really bothers me. As far as I'm concerned, if you join the Guru contest you're agreeing to give one of your nomination slots to the winner. If you lose, you nominate whoever the winner picks... period. To do otherwise would just be dishonorable. I might think it's stupid if the winner picks Link, but that's his perogative. The winner being stupid doesn't justify me breaking my word. After all, someone else might think nominating your favorite character is dumb, but they still damn well better stick to the agreement.

well it's not that I think their favourite character is dumb, it's that they're an absolute lock of getting in. this would pretty much only go for the noble nine in my mind. if someone won and chose a character I hated, I'd nominate them anyway. nominating Snake or Crono or Link is silly though and defeats the purpose.

I was .10% off from getting the FFVII prediction right!! A sign of good things to come, I would say.

75.81% would purchase a PS3 remake of FFVII though!

For some reason I always play as Waluigi on Double Dash, but yeah, it'd be funny seeing him get horribly owned.

I'm not sure if this form can be used to complain about the TOS being too lax (people typically complain about it being too strict, hence the third paragraph above the form) in some areas, but it can't hurt to try.

Anyway, the "Multiple Account" section could use stricter enforcement. People hide behind alts to troll all the time, which usually results in main accounts not being touched by the moderation staff. Not only should alt-trolling be treated far more severely than it currently is, but said strictness applying to all accounts would be very much appreciated. A user seeing his alt given the _privilege_ of punishment progression, then having this progression start over by switching to another account is ridiculous, not to mention the user's main account getting nothing most of the time. It would also be nice for notorious users to not be given standard moderation issue after getting recently banned.

MOST LIKELY:

PREDICTION #11: Elder Scrolls is absolutely destroyed by Street Fighter because the average voter does not equate "Elder Scrolls" with "Oblivion's series". We're talking over 70% here. [70 is a little high, but I could easily see this being more than a doubling.]

PREDICTION #1: Pokemon will score over 60% on Star Ocean. [Pokemon as a series wouldn't have dropped the ball like that against Xenogears.]

PREDICTION #5: Due to Pokemon being double SSFed by Metroid and Zelda, Star Ocean will be in dead last in the Xstats. [The SFF could be nasty.]

PREDICTION #16: The Legend of Zelda wins the contest.

PREDICTION #6: Grand Theft Auto flops against Warcraft and Halo/StarCraft 2.0 is on our hands.

PREDICTION #3: Halo will double Castlevania.

For the most part, I feel good about everything in my bracket but my tie-breaker...yet I'm not going to bother changing it simply because of how it may keep me from ever seeing the leaderboard and it's not all THAT bad.

I'm BAAAAAACK! Did you miss me? What do mean no?

The long story: I finished finals at the end of May. I am now working at Google this summer. Yes, Google. I have a desktop back at school. I didn't want to ship it out here to California. So, I bought a laptop out here which I'll be able to take back to school in the fall. It's one o' those shiny new MacBooks. In any case, I can now peruse the intarweb without cubemates looking over my shoulder. Anyways, this contest looks like a fun one.

Oh, and hi FastFalcon. I look forward to repeating my victory in the spread betting contest (and in the prophet challenge, for that matter).
