Cait Sith is the cat. The "mog," as it's called in FFVII, doesn't
appear in Advent Children. Cait Sith's ride hardly looks like an
average moogle (and it's never called one), so I'd hardly expect that

...I really have no idea why people think that. Ridley actually broke the fodder line. Well, I'm actually quite confident that a Metroid would be pretty strong, IE not fodder. The Metroid is one of the coolest generic enemies ever created, and there are several Metroids that are important to the story as well. The encounters with Metroids are some of the most memorable parts of pretty much every Metroid game. Moogles have an advantage in Mog...but I'd probably still take Metroid over Moogle. --- Mac's Alt. |

Oh, AC. I'm not there quite yet. I wonder just how many people did like me the first time they played FF7 and managed to give the Zolom the middle finger without picking up a chocobo, especially with everything from Midgar to the swamp basically telling you "GET A CHOCOBO, DUMBASS". A Metroid beating a Moogle? No, I don't see it. Moogles are actual characters, and they do
have a character that people like in Mog... It's basically going to be

I ran the swamp successfully on my first try. It was really close though. Speaking of the Zolom, I bet it'd get a lot of support from board 8. Just imagine if there was ever such a contest, and the nominations were limited to board 8 like they were just now... Ah, I see. I wouldn't mind a generic character contest, even if it
would be even more fodderific than the Villains Contest. At least it'd
be unpredictable. There wouldn't even be a clear finals, which is

Koopa Troopa FTW! I'd imagine Mario enemies would clean house in that
contest. Goomba, Boo, Pirahna Plant, and Koopa Troopa would probably
all be "relative" powerhouses when compared to baddies from other

The Moblin is probably the generic enemy of the series, although the

I was pretty ecstatic that the Moblins returned in The Wind Waker. They
were pretty hilarious in that game. Actually all of the enemies were

Nothing from Battletoads would make it due to the nightmares the games gave people. Except for possibly those Amazon women you had to grab by the hair, kick in the butt a couple of times, and then slam them around. --- Some stories can't be told by words. Too bad it won't last, and too bad it won't be true. I shouldn't really be saying that, but Playstation doesn't do much for me outside of MGS (which is Konami's baby, not Sony's) and Xbox doesn't do much for me outside of Halo (though still more for me than the PS's). I just got to thinking about how Sonic may do this contest; for those
of you who think Sonic will win or will take SSB to the wire, how would
you feel about SSB/Castlevania? As far as the Game Contest goes, C:SotN
is already a lil' bit ahead of Sonic 2, and C:SotN is likely more SFF'd
because of GE/LoZ:OoT than Sonic was because of SMW. Furthermore, the
Top 100 List shows C:SotN at #15 while Sonic 2 is at #38. To go
further, I believe Castlevania has spanned more systems and generations
than Sonic...so, with all things considered, Castlevania should be able
to put up a very good showing against Sonic, at least. Would any of you

I'd probably take Sonic over Castlevania. I definitely wouldn't take
DMC over Castlevania though. Castlevania has more roots and is far more
widespread. Devil May Cry doesn't have enough to take over

...actually, I'd have to think about Sonic/Castlevania a bit more. The
problem is (as has been stated repeatedly) I don't think Sonic 2 is
Sonic's strongest game; it's probably Sonic Adventure 2: Battle. Hell,
I'd assume Sonic 3 & Knuckles to be stronger than Sonic 2. Taking
that into consideration, there's a fair amount of room between SotN and
Sonic 2 for the most popular Sonic game to fall into. It'd definitely
be a tough match to predict; I think Sonic would have the advantage and
would be the safe pick, though. ...but considering how you asked about Castlevania/Smash (yay reading comprehension!), I'd expect Castlevania to probably do just as well against Smash - if not better - than Sonic. I expect some degree of SFF in Smash/Sonic, and I don't think Castlevania would have those problems. --- This was Ed Bellis. SSB, obv My point. lol no C:SotN - 20.27% Sonic 2 - 20.15% As of 2004, the unadjusted stats already show C:SotN has a very slight edge. Then, from there, why would Goldeneye 007 not be SFF'd by the second-biggest game here as much as Sonic's #1/2/3 game against arguably Mario's #2/3/4 game? The Top 100 List helps support my case -- very few people on the board expected Goldeneye to get into the Top Ten, and C:SotN brought home #15 while Sonic 2 got #38. PLEASE STOP USING SONIC 2 AS A BASIS FOR SONIC'S STRENGTH! It seems that nobody except for the Sonic detractors thinks that Sonic 2 is his strongest game, and people seem to want to make constant reference to it. As far as the Game Contest goes, C:SotN is already a lil' bit ahead of Sonic 2, and C:SotN is likely more SFF'd because of GE/LoZ:OoT than Sonic was because of SMW. It's hard for it to be more likely for SotN to be SFF'd when it's pretty much obvious in both cases. In reference to the top 100 list, Sonic's fanbase is much more split than Castlevania's fanbase as to what's the best game (we've already seen Symphony of the Night nearly take half the vote in a best game poll while no other game broke 10% there). "Oh, but wouldn't Sonic fans be likely to support Sonic 2 because it was the only game on the drop-down list?" Would they? I can't speak for all of them, but I know I didn't. I've got to wonder how strong Sonic 3 & Knuckles would be in a
Games Contest (if CJayC would even allow it). The two combine for 34%
in the favorite Sonic game poll. Also interesting to note that Sonic
Adventure 2 isn't very far behind Sonic 2, and this was BEFORE being
ported to the 'Cube. Also, very interesting to note for those of you who think Shadow is "hated..." He came in next to last (behind only Rouge) in "Who is your least favorite Sonic Adventure character?" and he was an easy 3rd place in the favorite character poll. Honestly, there's more to his appeal than just being a Sonic proxy. --- Some stories can't be told by words. Some legends are meant to die. Knowing your enemy is the quickest path to victory. |
