That teaches me to make a post 5 minutes after I wake up. I totally
missed the "might" and I meant to quote everything in between the

Mario Kart vs. Mega Man X Which do you take? I would probably end up taking Mega Man X. I actually think Mega Man X games would end up being stronger than original Mega Man games when just talking one game (Mega Man X v. Mega Man 2, for example), and there is a poll floating around where MMX did end up placing ahead of the original Mega Man. I have Mega Man over Mario Kart, and I think Mega Man X ends up being stronger. There may be some advantage in the X series having spanned many different consoles (SNES - PS2) overs its history, as opposed the original Mega Man which primarily was known on the NES. --- "If you're asking for a date, forget it. Or that lovely top 100 list where Starcraft is over Diablo II which is over anything Warcraft. Which I don't believe has that many parallels with contest strength. It confirms that GameFAQs likes MGS and that FFVII and OoT are the most loved games here, but not much else. As for Sonic/SSB, I was fairly confident in my Sonic pick, but now it's blowing my mind. I wish he would start using X in the Character Battle since he says
Mega Man in that contest is all of the Mega Man incarnations put into

Ulti, where did you come up with the Starcraft > Diablo > Warcraft statistic? By being hardcore into Blizzard's big trio for six years now. Starcraft >= Diablo > Warcraft in America, though Diablo takes center stage whenever a new patch comes out. Worldwide, it's Starcraft >>> Warcraft >= Diablo. Oh and in America, where GameFAQs is based from, Grand Theft Auto as a series trumps all of those. From this day forward, I am dubbing GTA/WarCraft as, "Reality Check." ™ This match won't be the next Halo / StarCraft, it will be the next StarCraft / SSBM. It's very possible that there is serious rallying potential for WarCraft, and that it could wind up being a strong force in this contest. However, like StarCraft in SpC2k4, it has run into a force which is just too strong for any of that to matter. --- 2nd Place, Spring Contest 2005 Elite Gamer (see quote). |

A game which is the higher seed, lots of casual appeal, favourite to win and probably going to get the most brackets, favoured to win by the hardcore bracketeer against a Blizzard classic that only a select few of the hardcore bracketeers are picking to win, with a massive online community...and it has "craft" in the name. <_< I don't know. Maybe I'm just being pessimistic, but I'm really starting to see the upset. 0-0-0 Thanks for the info on X. I'd just like to point out that every single mainstream Grand Theft
Auto game made the list in the Fall Contest, and that they all ranked

We have tons (and I mean TONS) of evidence that helps prove Grand Theft
Auto's standing as a powerful series on GameFAQs. In fact, if we were
to base our arguments entirely around history and past polls, GTA would

The only series I wouldn't take GTA over are the strongest Nintendo
series (SMB, LoZ, SSB), and Final Fantasy. Maybe Chrono if it was in
this contest due to Chrono Trigger's immense popularity. That's it.
Nothing else as a gaming series has shown that it's as popular on this

I love the games to death, but jesus christ the fans are stupid. The GTA:SA board scarred me for life. Although I'll be fair, the Halo 2 board was even worse when I dropped in there one night. unless Sonic suffers SFF against Mario or something. That's almost certain. There are idiotic fans of every game. *Nods* But GTA's fans are like "THIS GAME RAWKS BCUZ U CAN SHOOT T3H HOEZ LOL!!1", which is ridiculous.
