Seen it, but helpful anyhow. It shines out of the jobbers
there.....MGS3 and GTA: San Andreas garnered a lotta votes though. Wish

also, that Sub > Scorp poll is what people used to argue that
Sub:Scorp would be like Ryu:Ken. my opinion is that the fanbase would
vote for both of them but prefers Sub in a head-to-head matchup. --- xyzzy |

Still, the Pokemon/Star Ocean polls don't quite make a clear cut winner
there...Pokemon looks to have the slight edge, but how much of a edge

http://members.shaw.ca/tre/Polls.html It's a list of every poll on GameFAQs up until today. You can scan through it for any polls you might want. I got the polls names from GameFAQs' poll archive so on occation it doesn't match the actual poll question. I saw that Zombie one while looking earlier and was pissed that
Uniracers got last. that's a disgrace, I love the hell out of Uniracers. http://www.gamefaqs.com/poll/index.html?poll=1484 forget Star Ocean - only 10% of the people were interested in the entire Mega Man series being rereleased? it makes sense for Star Ocean to do well in that kind of poll because it's an RPG. RPGs always have a hardcore fanbase here, especially one like Star Ocean. besides, it's the only console RPG on the list. --- xyzzy |

argument could be made there that the only legimate competition is the
MMA Collection, considering Outbreak is one of the worst RE games, and

also, if you go through all the old polls, you can see how this place
has slowly shifted from being Square-dominated to Nintendo-dominated.

I've finally caught up on each and every post, and I only have two things to say: 1) Castlevania/Halo should be awesome to watch -- if not for it being a close match, then for the swing in votes we will definitely be seeing. 2) TRE is a machine amongst men. I'm not any expert at all, but I'm surprised that so many has Resident
Evil over Street Fighter. That just don't sound logical to me. --- Pit is playable in SSBB, so he gets the attention in my sig. |

Halo definitely won't win decisively. I can't see it getting over
60%. Neither Halo nor Master Chief have ever blown anything out on this
site. I'm not expecting any 70%+ blowout, but over 60%? I can definitely see that happening. Admittedly, it won't be by much more than that, but the match will not ever be in question and certainly won't be all that close. The people who like Halo 2 and would vote for it are the same people who have voted for the first Halo. I very, very much disagree. The people who like Halo 2 are not the same people who will vote for Halo. The games, while similar, offer a number of changes that people like/dislike between the games. You have people who think Halo is far better than Halo 2 and those who think Halo 2 is far better than Halo. Halo 2 will help out the Halo series and it will be by quite a bit. It won't shoot it up to beat something like Metal Gear, but it won't be anything small. Anyways, it really doesn't matter since I definitely can't see Halo or Castlevania being able to beat Kingdom Hearts. I agree. I'm really glad to see that Star Ocean did well in a few polls -- not too bad in the Square RPG poll either. For something with such a decisive advantage like some people are thinking, Pokemon didn't show it in those polls, or even prove it in the games contest. I'm actually starting to doubt about Resident Evil vs Street Fighter too <_< Resident Evil was no doubt the most popular RE game before RE4 came out, and it isn't near as strong as Street Fighter 2... --- There are 2 rules to being a success in life: 1. Never give out all the information. |

The match I'm most worried about is Fire Emblem vs. Silent Hill. Overall, Silent Hill is still a more recognizable name. I can't see anybody but the Nintendo fanbase even thinking
of voting for Fire Emblem over the more well-known name. Silent Hill is
no Resident Evil, but it's still relatively popular among Playstation
and Xbox gamers. We are just banking that the Nintendo fanbase will

Just throwing this out there, but far as ES/SF is concerned, why hasn't
anyone mentioned the SF Alpha Anthology which comes out in a few days?
I'd like to think it'll bring back enough SF fans back to site to least

Yeah, Cjay already announced that a "Summer" contest will follow this one. Queston: Do you think this bracket is better than either of the two 'worst' brackets we've seen so far (Spring '05 and Summer '04)? If yes, which one? Or do you think it's better than both? I think it's better than Spring, as the winner isn't so clear this time (FF is the favourite, but it might not beat LoZ), and it's not as fodderific. Not as SFFy as 04, either. Resident Evil 2 was more popular than the first. I remember getting it
the first day it came out. It was crazy. Two discs. "Freedom" to go
through the city instead of being confined to a mansion (although that

I don't think that will do that much. It's not like it's a massive release. It's not like it needs a massive release to win either. I never saw that match as being all that hard, even with Oblivion being pretty popular here. It isn't like Street Fighter is weak and lack power in its name. SFAA at least gets Street Fighter a recent release and it's releasing during a season when gaming releases tend to suck, so that helps. --- "Princess, there's no need for worry. I didn't think the pick was hard either (Frankly I was surprised a
discussion about that match suddenly sprang up), but on the off chance
that match was close, I'd figure the Anthology would bring enough to

SFF fest. I love SSB as much as anybody else, but voting it over the
entire Mario series? No. Super Smash Bros. is already Mario enough. I
can't see people giving it major support over Mario if they like both.
I'd be surprised if SSB even gets over 35% on Mario. I expect it to get
