Fact or fiction? Fact. He might just start it very late, or do 2 matches a day, or something. But a 16 entrant contest would be stupid. As I explained before, only 8 series would even win a single match, and it would be way too easy to predict. In a 16-person bracket, you only have a grand total of 225 predictions to chose from. Of those 225 combinations, only about 20 would be reasonably valid. A lot more than 20 people enter this contest, so Ceej would be giving out way to much store credit. There will be a 32 series contest or no contest at all, and I still think he will not cancel it entirely. --- Yoshi > most. Toad > All. Mario Kart 64 is amazing. Yeah, I think I'd rather know that the thing is cancelled rather than
keep waiting. Nothing will likely happen over the weekend, so unless
the bracket comes out later today and starts, say, Monday, giving us

This is completely ridiculous now. I'm thinking maybe he should take the nominations, make a bracket, and keep it for next Spring. That way he could skip the nomination phase come Spring, go straight into a 4 or 5 day prediction period and run a 32-way contest. We'd have a larger gap between Spring and Summer 2007 contests, then. I was surprised by how late the announcement for this contest came, so I think that might be it. Granted, we could have squeezed in a good contest had he ended the nominations at the appropriate time, but I've said it once and I'll say it again: CjayC loves being hated. --- Sign my petition! He also seems to be purposely avoiding The Daily Grind, I guess to
avoid more of our wrath. The only other time he's gone this long
without making a post on the Daily Grind is when he went on vacation.

I think you guys are making way too much out of this "bracket battle".
He always says "got bracket?" and stuff. Commonly he refers to them as

I knew it! The contest will go on!!! Now I really will be supporting Mario Kart and Fire Emblem in SpC2K6. On topic: There will be predictions for this contest. For any contest with a bracket there are predictions. Period. A bracket without predictions is like a world cup without fans. I'm not thinking it will happen until the middle of next week, since he
never specifically stated it would happen on Monday. So I'm sure we get

By the word next, it's pretty clear that he's talking about the contests. Okay, so it starts next week. If there ARE predictions, looks like this
will be our summer contest, and the character battle, if there's even
one, will be a fall contest. Woo-hoo. Indeed, <3 semantics. Well, we're probably going to get the bracket next week, and have about two weeks to predict it, making this contest start
either the week of the 19th or the 26th. It lasts for a month, and Ceej
likes to take time off between contests, so I'd be very surprised for
character nominations to be up by early August. I think at best we'll
