WoW hurting Warcraft? Wha? No way. I doubt it'll help much
(except maybe in a fluke rally... oh I hope so), but I don't think any
Warcraft fans are gonna start anti-voting Warcraft just because of that

MMOs are pretty much hated on GF, for the most part. Besides, you've seen MMO players in action. You've got a point there, but that doesn't explain why Diablo fans are
still pretty loyal. Starcraft is an RTS though, so I guess those fans
are much different than their RPG counterparts. Technically Diablo at

I've said for awhile that Diablo/2 is the best MMO out there, or at
least the one I find most tolerable. Though it's not exactly Massive

Even if you don't think they won't respond to any rally attempts (foolery!), I really don't see how it could hurt
Warcraft. I'm thinking people will generally just ignore the games in a
series they don't like. DMC2 didn't hurt Dante, and WoW won't hurt

Well regardless, Starcraft is the better game of all three anyhow.
Diablo is good to play at friend's houses though. Warcraft is just
well....depressing. Although I still say the most depressing MMO out

Anyone calls Diablo a MMO doesn't know anything about either Diablo or MMO's. If we don't get a bracket tomorrow I'm just going to act like Ceej never mentioned a contest. So, if the contest starts tomorrow, are we still going to have a guru
contest? He'll hopefully at least release the bracket when the contest
begins, and the first match will probably be easy enough that nobody
would get it wrong. And it's not like we really need prediction on the

Mario Kart isn't one of Nintendos main franchises though. Oh its a big
franchise no doubt, but its not quite as big as the main Mario series.
And last I checked, Halo wasn't really too popular on this site as far
as people who vote go anyways. I'd expect a 60/40 match favoring Mega
Man/KH there. Kingdom Hearts has the FF Characters, and Mega Man is

Kingdom Hearts almost lost to Soul Calibur. Yes, KH2 and all, but I
would hope that two-three games from the Mario Kart series would beat
Soul Calibur worse than the first KH did. Halo was also #9 on the Top
100 List as well as Halo 2 being one of the two write-ins that made the
list...not to mention Halo barely lost to Starcraft in a match that
easily had the highest vote total of its contest AND arguably was the

I think that would be the deciding factor in that poll, really. And I
think you'll be surprised by how much KH2 actually makes a difference

We saw what it did for characters, yeah...plus, what if Mega Man gets
divided up? If it says Mega Man X or Mega Man (original), I wouldn't
give it a shot. Besides, We've seen Link SFF Mega Man and arguably saw
Mario SFF Zero. That's not to say that the Mario Kart series could SFF

Assuming he give us the bracket. At this point, I could see him just
doing the first-round polls without us even knowing what matches are
next, then leaving us to figure out for ourselves what matches will be

Link has SFF'd quite a lot of people in his day, and Mario SFFing Zero
wasn't exactly surprising. Summer 05 seems to be one of Mario's most
strongest contests, which is why he won the main contest bracket of
course. But when you go head on with the main Mega Man series, pair it
with a Kingdom Hearts 2 boosted KH series, and throw one of the side
Mario series and Halo at it, I just don't think they can quite cut it.
It'd be a very interesting match to see though, but I still firmly

Yeah, don't write off how much Kingdom Hearts 2 has done for the
popularity of the series. With Kingdom Hearts, it was pretty much "wow,
Disney characters mixed with FF. Nice." But there wasn't really a whole
lot that would have the GameFAQs population attached to the game
besides the presence of the Final Fantasy characters. The story didn't
pick up until the end of the game. Sora wasn't all that
likeable of a character, at least enough to keep a dedicated fanbase to
KH. It had a villain who is only known for pretty much showing up near
the end of the game and saying "DARKNESS!". Kingdom Hearts 2 gives the series a lot more to get attached to. I've said before that the presence of Organization XIII alone gives the series far more identity than anything in the first game (which is why I believe Axel could be a decent low-midcard threat, at least compared to Ansem). The storyline also takes off compared to the first game. And the fact that Sora actually kicks ass in the game is an afterthought. Overall, I think that KH2 gives the series a whole lot more to stick to than it did in 2k4. It pretty much is where FFXI would have been in popularity had it been a proper FF game. If the Mega Man series is simply listed as Mega Man, I probably would
too. I just don't think that KH and MM would "rape" Mario Kart and

Axel and/or Roxas would be tough to peg. Being conservative, I'd take
either to beat, say, KOS-MOS, but anything above that is tough to
