Well, I just bought Fable and Guilty Gear XX Reload for
Xbox, so I gave the Xbox a vote, even though it probably will end up
looking pitiful. But yeah, SFAA is probably the next game I will buy, especially with the fact that I haven't played a proper Street Fighter game since the original Street Fighter II (the Street Fighter EX series doesn't count). It's sad that my first exposure to the likes of Akuma and Sakura was the EX series, although I did know of them. But yeah, I've been waiting a while for this game. Right before it was announced, I planned on purchasing every Alpha game separately on Amazon or something, so SFAA was a godsend to me. --- Nominate Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles for Sp2k6 |

Voted Gamecube. There's still an awful lot of good games that I need to

Heh, in 2002 Snake was a legitimate threat to win the contest. Crono
over Snake was definitely one of the contest's biggest upsets. I
personally had Snake in the finals. >_> I don't think Metal Gear has ever been particularly popular here. Sure, there was some Raiden hate in the years after MGS2 came out, but that's not really reflective of any hate on the whole series. --- Pity for the guilty is treason to the innocent. |

I've always remembered the original MGS being rather popular around
here. The hate on MGS2 has died down lately (sorta like how FFVIII hate
has gradually toned down somewhat), and I've thought that MGS3 in

Yeah, I don't really see much Metal Gear dislike around
here, moreso than seeing a lot of people who aren't big fans of it. I
wouldn't call it "niche", since it's definitely one of the most popular
series out there, but it's not really a series for everyone like a

Snake and Metal Gear popularity has been growing around here more
recently. I remember back when there was maybe one person who was known
for liking Snake and that was about it. You may have had others who
liked the games, but they never were really into it or anything.
Recently, though, you have a number of people who are all into Metal
Gear and Snake, it's doing much better in contests held, and I think
Snake was liked tied for second in the most recent "Board 8's Top 100
Characters" or something. The series has been on a rise around here in

Well, I didn't honestly think I'd get to the end of my exam period
without being distracted by brackets, analysis/prediction of brackets,
oracle challenges et al. 14 hours and I'm done for the year, see you on

I think Snake was liked tied for second in the most recent "Board 8's Top 100 Characters" or something. 3rd, actually.
