The four from the main tournament blew out the others. Only Laguna was really close to Falcon. Aeris lost to Raiden in the semis of the returner, and Raiden proceeded to outlast Fox in the final. Fox will likely get in, anyway.

All things aside, you only missed three days of the tournament. You ran everything else, and for the most part did it very well. I still feel guilty about kind of forcing that thing on you, though. But Leon was nowhere to be found at the time and I figured you were the best choice :(

PS - BOP plz

Though the other five are very nomination-worthy as well.

I don't plan on having kids, because I'm not cut out for them. Very few once-abused people are, and I'm really scared of being like my parents. I'd rather have cats.

Yeah, I'd rather people abuse cats, too.

Dogs > Cats, yo!

See, Ceej! This is what happens when you tease us with a contest and don't deliver for nearly two weeks!

Laguna should be nominated, too, Janus, so it's all good.

And yes, Roxas > Axel. The Flurry of Dancing Flames was okay, but I didn't see the big deal about him, really. The Key of Destiny appealed more to me.

I'm studying biochemistry (and so we're clear on how tough it is, it's said to be the second hardest program at the university I go to). And the only time the grades were a real concern were during my depression in early 2004. Flunked three courses, but I ended up doing them again, and kick ass and take names in all of them. Plus now, I'm on medication. Antipsychotics. Helps a lot with the stress.

That's not even funny. I'm such an animal lover that at work I'll literally stop everything I'm doing when people bring them in. Which happens all the time, oddly enough. Today, some rich lady brought in her two anti-social midget dogs. They hated everyone else but me. It was awesome. We also have a nest full of baby birds between two giant flower pots that I feed worms regularly.

Ulti I understand and respect that decision. Actually I think its brave more than anything. One of the problems with the world is people bringing life into this world who either cannot handle the responsibility or wont handle the responsibility.

Not saying you are either of these people, but if you dont believe you could be a good parent then it is better not to be one.

Sure I did. And I don't even want to know what "a lot of other things" means. Then again, you're not the aggressive type.

But seriously, I'm going to bed. I've been up since 3:30 a.m. ****ing awesome seeing you back, and stay around this time! <3

As long as you're good at time management (which everyone is after a break), you'll be fine. See you.

I know I could be a good parents. It's just that I was raised in an environment where the only way to deal with a kid was to beat the hell out of him when he did anything remotely wrong. Sometimes it wouldn't even take that much, plus they always made sure to take away anything I remotely liked. A list off the top of my head, and I'm not making this up:

-All friends (my mom would make up ****ing ridiculous excuses for why I couldn't hang out with people; my best friend in high school was literally a born-again Christian, and she thought he was a drug addict before she ever met him)
-Seinfeld
-Hot sauce
-Sports, both on TV and played, for entire seasons at a time
-Video games
-Girls (I kid you not, a girl was once forced to move to Washington state, as far away from me as possible in other words, because she was dating me and "we were pulling away from our families"; my parents actually helped pay for this)
-Music
-My cat
-My dog
-High school (literally, my mom forced me to drop out of high school junior year, walking me around to every class to made sure I got every teacher to sign; I only got back in because teachers would not stop protesting at the vice principal's office)
-Internet

No coincidence that my obsessive personality has me now attached to virtually all of it.

When my mom got cancer, I was seriously happy about it. When she died, my only regret was never telling her how much I hated her to her face. My stepfather, currently still alive, draws pretty much the same feelings. My only regret is never beating him to within an inch of his life. He still tries winning back my approval every now and then by buying me lunch and stuff. I only agree to it because I'm getting something for free, not because I give two craps about him.

I have a ton of deep issues (it's a wonder I'm happy, it really is) and a lot of problems managing it. Even now, anger comes out in very... strange ways. Nothing physically harmful to anyone, but stuff that's embarrassing enough to not talk about. I'm very worried that if I have kids, I'll just randomly take it all out on them. I can't do that to another human being. I'd rather surround myself with things that make me happy and hope it lasts. Love worked, corny as that sounds. The only real issue I currently have is that socially, I'm a complete failure. It's not that I won't go out or anything (I do it all the time), but I'm never comfortable anywhere. I was stuck teaching myself how to be a man, and I did a very bad job. It's why I'll post here when 95% of the time, I could probably be out doing something else. I've cut back a LOT since my wedding (which I'm proud of), but still.

Maybe in the last five years. Try being a Braves fan and your first memories of sports being the '91 World Series and then having to live that every year.

Granted, being a Cowboys fan evened things out for a few years there, but still.

You still won one. The Colts are mental midgets that can't do anything right when the pressure is on. The refs and Jerome Bettis literally gave that game away last year, and the Colts still couldn't win. I've never cried that much over a sporting event in my damn life.

Ehh, I doubt you've been a Peyton Manning fan for as long as I have. He didn't do much better at Tennessee when it mattered most, you know.

Man, four years of watching the Vols fail against Florida was miserable. He beat everybody else but them. Bah. At least he won an SEC Championship his last season.

And the funny thing is the Vols won a national championship the year after he left with a nobody quarterback.

The Colts will probably win the Super Bowl the year after he retires/leaves.

You know... the best thing that probably could have happened to me was the bracket/contest got delayed this much because I have so much damn work that I should be catching up on, and this place has been boring as hell as of late. Now on top of that, all plans with my friends fell through both friday & saturday night (poker), and I don't feel like just hanging out and doing nothing with them since I'm sicker than hell. It's like everything is lining up perfectly for me to get my ass in gear and actually do something. And I'm still procrastinating.

I used to think Final Fantasy lock, but I'm not so sure now. The Zelda series sports two games that did amazingly well in the Spring Contest: OoT and LttP. While FF has VI, VII, and X, VI and X didn't do quite as well as the two Zeldas. Plus, all the FFs are different from each other, while Zelda games are much similar (Link is always the hero, for one). I'm still putting FF as the champion, but I am a bit more concerned now with this revelation.

Which means more diverse fanbases than the Zeldas have between them. Which most likely means more unique voters pulling for the FF series. It doesn't guarantee anything, but by no means are the FFs being different a hindrance.

Well yeah, but seeing how Link is pretty much the embodiment of the Zelda series, he isn't that much stronger than Cloud. Granted Zelda as a series should be a bit stronger than Link, FF as a series should be much stronger than Cloud. Plus we've already seen how the most popular FF game handled the most popular Zelda game. The diverse FF base should have more of an impact than people who like a lot of Zelda games.

Of course, if people realized the greatness of games in the Zelda series not named Ocarina of Time and A Link to the Past, Zelda would win this contest hands down! Link's Awakening was amazing and Oracle of Ages is awesome as well with the return of LttP's two world gameplay (not the crap that OoT gave us). Even the Zelda I enjoyed the least (MM) was pretty solid. The other Zelda games should be appreciated more...

The one thing that could save Zelda is, indeed, the fact that its 2D and 3D fanbases are more mutually exclusive than for FF. Personally, I don't think much of the 2D Zeldas and pretty much worship OoT and Wind Waker, yet Zelda has my vote against pretty much anything not named Metroid or Diablo. Meanwhile, there are those (and I think there are quite a few here) who love the 2D ones to death and believe anything made after the mid-90s is complete rubbish.

We already saw that with the Zelda support dividing between LttP and OoT, it allowed FF7 to slip through and win the game contest no problem. As the character battles have shown, once you put those two fanbases together, they're really difficult to stop. Makes you (and me) think twice about mindlessly picking FF to go all the way.
