I really don't see which reason CJC could have not giving us the bracket o_O Not doing a prediction period would be like putting a knife in the back of all gamefaqs regulars (most of them like to predict the contests) and waiting this long without putting the nominations on the front page just doesn't make any sense, I don't think many new nominations are still coming in... I wish I could feel the same thing ... It's really rather frustrating that the bracket is being held off this long. And, like mentioned, the next chance at getting a bracket is likely Monday, or Tuesday due to the holiday. Hello, small bracket predicting period, or no bracket predicting period at all! I say quit this, nominations for the character battle, bracket June 1st, and contest in July. Any anticipation I have left will have been killed off if we don't get the bracket tonight. --- Some stories can't be told by words. Some legends are meant to die. What kills me the most about this, believe it or not, isn't even the
fact that nominations are still up and all that mess. The worst part is
that CJay won't update us on the matter and is leaving us to set up and
be failed by our own expectations. Granted, that could teach us not to
assume, but it's also nothing short of irritating when it's done in

I'm still very much interested in this contest, but this is getting
pretty silly. Just a simple update from Ceej would be much appreciated;
even if he's is as vague as Nintendo it would be better than the

It sucks a lot that we've gotten no update of any kind on the matter of
the contest. You'd figure he'd at least give us a general area of how
things are going to play out. It has been an exceptionally long time
for nominations, so just some sort of update to let us know something
would be good. As it is, it's like he's just completely forgotten about

Haven't we received previous brackets on Sunday nights? It could happen

Karma sucks. Anyway, while I agree that any anticipation I had for this contest has completely disappeared, I'm sure it'll all come back once I see a bracket, so long as the predicting period is still implemented. If it isn't... I'm gon' be pissed. I've been thinking more in more and it makes sense that we might not have a prediction period. Ceej usually doesn't give us specific deadlines as to when the contest is going to be held, but this time he said it would be decided in June. Nuts to this. I'm just gonna act like the contest has already started. We all knew this first match wouldn't be exciting, but that doesn't keep it from promoting a little noggin' scratchin'. Who knew that this round's pics would look exactly like standard Summer Contest pictures? Come now, CJayC; I can't tell if this is the Super Mario series vs. the Ratchet and Clank series or Mario vs. Ratchet. Anyway, on to the match itself. I can't be the only person surprised by Mario's performance today. We're well into the day vote, and the most famous series in gaming has just now hit 84%? Against Ratchet and Clank? Ya, beats me too, especially when I predicted the Mario series would be the best at avoiding any possible anti-voting. Ah well, maybe people really are voting differently here. As soon as the bracket was released, Board 8 unanimously agreed that this would be the contest's biggest blowout. It still may well be, but that would make this the contest with the least X-Stats descrepancy between its entrants. Pretty cool, if you ask me. For now, though, all we can do is speculate and wait for tomorrow's KotOR vs. Silent Hill pic. Speaking of which, which characters do you think CJayC will have representing the respective series? My money's on James Sunderland and HK-47, although a villain pic with Pyramid Head and Darth Malak wouldn't be bad. --- Board 8: Where Wii treat each other right. |
