There were 7 people last year. But 9?!?! Christ, I don't remember approving that list. I might also need some help handling all those write-ups. --- Moltar Fact #19: Moltar never played the original KH and thought it was lame, yet likes KH2. |

I say we the board-users have 100% say-so this time. As is, assuming
the bracket is released tonight and the contest starts June 1st, that
leaves just over two weeks for predictions. It's also not a regular
contest like the character contest is, so I could imagine CJay

Would people please stop calling Halo and GTA "casual" games? Just

games. Final Fantasy and Metal Gear Solid are just as "casual" as them

Neither Halo nor GTA will be snubbed, "book it." What other boards got a link? And if the boards they visit don't have a link, then how would they know about it? But yeah, I'm pretty certain as well that Halo and GTA won't get snubbed (though other mainstream series like Madden sure as hell might, and they'd have a lot of a better chance to get in if the link to the noms was on the front page). I know RI did, and I'm thinking CE and LUE did (never checked for
myself about CE and can't check LUE to see). Even then, I remember
somebody going to the FF7 board to rally Sephiroth nominators for the

Even though I don't know those boards, it would be hard to believe that
they'd be heavier against Halo than this one, so I guess that's good
stuff. But like I said, the very biggest series will get in, but then
there's also the other series that would benefit from a link on the
front page (and that would have a lot more potential in a contest
setting than the likes of Dragon Quest or Fire Emblem) like Madden and
others (can't directly think of anything else, Gran Turismo maybe?
Though I don't think that's very popular on this site). Anyway, a link on the front page is always necessary, IMO. Well, not necessary. But beneficial. I'm going to throw out a question ... I know someone here mentioned that if Mega Man is represented that, even if Mega Man X is present, people are going to vote based on the entirety of the Mega Man series when they see "Mega Man." So I got to thinking, if the Mario series is labeled "Super Mario," then are people going to vote based on the entire Mario series in mind and not separate them. People probably will vote for it thinking of ALL of the Mario games.
But not like it's going to make a difference. Mario is going to beat

I think Mario's in kind of a Sephiroth situation anyway (not a real
threat to the two above, easily dispatch those below), so I'm not

I'm not sure if Mario's series are as easy to "conglomerate" as Mega
Man's, mainly because there are so many of them and each are different.
Mega Man and Mega Man X are basically the same. The gameplay is
similar. The genre is similar. The graphics are similar. Not tough to
interchange one for the other, even when you're not trying to. It's
different with Mario. When I hear "Super Mario" or "Super Mario

I agree with yo. when someone says "yo I got the new Mario", I don't
think Mario Kart. if someone says the same with Mega Man, it could be
