| Regardless if Suikoden is stronger than Luca Blight, we saw
FF7/Suikoden 2 in 2004. Even if you want to factor a bit of SFF, it's

Here's a wuestion to think about: will series with traditionally
weak characters be weak themselves? i.e. would suikoden be as weak as
luca blight, or considerably stronger? I think Suikoden will be stronger than Luca Blight. I think Suikoden II got better on FFVII than what Luca got on Magus. --- Nominate the "Do you like horny bunnies?" series for the gamefaqs contest. |

I'd like to see one 8 pack with something like: Mario Monkey Island Mega Man X Mother Phantasy Star Shadow Hearts Suikoden Lunar You know, something that really isn't in any doubt but some cult hits can win a match or two. While Mario can plow a great series in the contest, to me it'd be more fun to watch some other matchups, even if it means on a few days the vote totals will be much lower. but that's just me! --- there's nothing you can find that cannot be found |

| The biggest fodder I can see getting in is Mother and Tomb Raider. Suikoden, Lunar, Shadow Hearts and other misc RPGs don't really have a chance IMO. Too many big series for them to make a 32 series bracket. |

I would think that the fanbase of suikoden on a whole is a lot bigger than suikoden 2's fanbase, if anything, because suikoden 2 had so few copies produced (I think). I know you're going to call me an exception to the rule, but until this weekend I had never played a suikoden game before. Now I'm about twelve hours into V and would probably vote for it over the majority of games in a bracket. next to nothing from it. Do you know the sales of the other suikoden games? I'm just kind of assuming that the more recent ones sold more copies because of how easy they are to find, but I could easily be wrong, and maybe that's a horrible assumption. This is away from my initial point though, suikoden was simply an example. Do you think any series at all with weak characters could be at least somewhat strong? Here's my nominations so far: Final Fantasy The Legend of Zelda Civilization Mario Kart Madden Football Dragon Quest Chrono Trigger I doubt Civilization can make it; it would take a large-scale concerted board effort, and it's just not popular enough on the boards. I don't think Kingdom Hearts vs. Diablo is a no-brainer, but I agree
that KH should be stronger now than before. I don't think it would win
