Ya know, I hope IE is still capable of beating Firefox handily...'cuz
look at it like this: if IE was to actually deserve to win this poll
but that IE error is keeping from it, that is another 11,000+ votes you
should throw into the poll at least. I, for one, would love to see
regular polls be close to 100,000 votes everyday...so I hope IE got

There's just no excuse for Mario World, OoT, and Tetris being
outdrawn by Shining Force, Suikoden, and Adventure against a common
opponent. You are just a silly nintendo fanboy. Shining Force and Suikoden II > Two overrated Nintendo games. If Shining Force and Suikoden didn't get SFF'D in their matches they would have been way higher in the x-stats than Mario World and OoT >_> --- transience: I'm in everyone's sig! |

That is a pretty darn good vote total on these polls. Makes me curious
what we would be looking at for a contest, since there is normally a

I didn't say the position of the poll would do NOTHING. I just said I
don't think it was as significant as people thought. Cloud/Link 2004
still had no problem getting outstanding vote totals despite the poll
positioning. I'd just say that site traffic went down after the layout
change rather than people saying, "Oh, there just must not be a poll

The new design wasn't up for the first several hours to my understanding, and IE seemed to have problems with voting...yet yesterday's poll got 86,557 votes, a jump of almost 22,000. And what's good about them is they're both generic questions that everyone has an answer to. There's no other options really. The increased votals (higher poll position) could have a huge affect on the upcoming contest/contests, any close match we've seen in the past where it was below could have had a completely different outcome. --- Explicit Content Cheer Up Emo Kids |

In the old possition I didn't care. It took effort to scroll down and
might not be worth it so I'd often head to the boards right away. But
enough anecdotal evidence, it's clear that poll possition alone is

Hopefully so. We're going to have fodder, no matter how much we would
like to prevent it, so I would have no problem having him replace the
likes of Yuri or (to go old-school) Ryo Hazuki. PW would be the best
fodder we've had since CATS if he got in as far as fun goes...and he
would ultimately get decimated, too, making whoever he faced look good.
Set up a Solid/Ganon match deep in the bracket and give Ganon PW in the
first round...more anticipation will occur (as long as Solid didn't get

If the poll position hadn't changed, we'd have seen Master Chief/
Snake, and maybe Sora/Jill. And could Sonic have benefitted from the
poll at the top? Maybe... As far as contests go, I'm glad there's no Spring Contest now. This means that Samus gets to stay in the contest and win her title like a ma...woman. Then we'd get a winter contest, which wouldn't be soon after the release of Twilight Princess, Metal Gear Solid 4, and Super Smash Bros. Revolution! The hype about this new game being Lara's RE4 is overblown, personally.

Well, Pac-Man's been there before, at any rate. So has Kefka in the
Villains Contest, for what it's worth, but still. Surely we can come up
