I just remembered someone said CJay rejected a Tales of Symphonia poll

I just remembered someone said CJay rejected a Tales of Symphonia
poll because the game was too obscure? And yet he did a Darkstalkers
poll? You have to remember that traffic to this site wasn't quite as large back then than it is now (just look at the vote totals) & also fighters had fairly decently popularity on this site in its earlier years. Sadly Darkstalkers isn't popular enough anymore to get a re-poll! :( |

That would be nice. Spring Contests overlapping with E3 was a bad idea
in the first place, though a Winter Contest would overlap with

Well, he did make that one post where he mentioned why he wasn't doing
a games contest in back-to-back years, and then followed up with the
idea that possibly alternating between characters and games could make

Well, now I understand why he didn't dive into a Spring Contest, what
with all of the redesign headaches that are about to descend on the
site. Trying to run a Contest at the same time would have been too much
to handle, especially if a close match came up where he'd have to look
into cheating. At this point, I would rather wait for a Winter Contest before we see
games. That way we get all the major releases like Twilight Princess,
Final Fantasy XII, and any other big games for the PS3 and Revolution

We're launching Part 1 tomorrow morning, and then I'll be working all
day to fix up minor issues. The goal is to minimize downtime and not
create more problems than we're fixing, but you know how these things

But even given that this vote isn't entirely FF, a 12% Mozilla boost
combined with the 12% IE drop is mighty impressive, especially for
happening in only a 9 month span like this. And I'll join the crowd in saying huzzah for PotD/Contest matchups back on top, where they belong! There seems to be a problem voting in the poll with IE. This means that
the results of this poll will be skewed against IE so it
Firefox/Mozilla/Netscape/Camino may not have passed IE. Even with this
handicap the poll still seems on pace to break 80k votes and the
newlayout wasn't put up until 9.5 hours into the poll. Right now things
are looking very good for vote totals, it just needs to hold up for the

The poll location may not be that significant, but it
should help. And if the matchpic size increases to match the size of

I had a problem with the poll as well. When I came back to try it again
it said I had already voted. It's probably just an error that it
doesn't redirect you to the results screen and should be cleared up
