In a lot of SFF cases, the benefactor of SFF is such because he is simply more recognizable, or because most of the fans like that character more. Knuckles is nearly as recognizable as Sonic, and not only that, but many people like Knuckles more than Sonic.

I think it's possible that Knuckles could break 40%.
