Now, this is with Clinkerothero. A bracket without the four would just mean bumping up the relevent seeds by one, removing link, putting Sephiroth against Mario, and Cloud against the winner.

I think Kingdom Hearts II is more than enough to make the gap much closer between Square characters and Nintendo characters. We saw what Kingdom Hearts was able to do and with Square having much bigger releases here lately, I think a "swing" is in store for us in the coming year.

Just thinking, I'm pulling a blank on what it is Nintendo will have by the time the next contest starts. Unless Twilight Princess somehow gets out by then, which I doubt, it isn't like they'll have very much to contend with something as large as Kingdom Hearts II (I doubt FFXII will be out by then over here).

If Twilight Princess isn't out by the next contest, I'm picking Cloud next year. But *only* if it isn't out.

Well, Twilight Princess is playable, in some form, I guess, at that G.A.M.E. conference to the general public, and with the Revolution itself being fully unveiled at e3, there's a nice window for TP to be released. If the Rev will be finished by then, its Christmas-ish release will probably hold, and as a result they're not going to want to postpone the Zelda game any longer than they have to. I'd assume they want to get Zelda out as far away from the Rev as possible.

since I'm lazy, when is Kh2 coming out? I can't wait.

I would almost guarantee Twilight Princess won't be out by the time the next contest starts, much less before it. The absolute earliest we'll see the game out is April 1st. If I had to throw out a personal guess, I would imagine sometime around Fall if it is even released on the GameCube. At this point, I wouldn't be shocked in the least if Twilight Princess has moved to the Revolution as a launch title.


We'll see, I suppose. If it doesn't make it out, I'll obviously be going with Cloud once again. If it does make it out, Link's the only option...again. <<

As for TP, Nintendo would be idiotic to release it on GC. I don't really care either way, as I don't generally enjoy Zelda games, though I always give them a try, and I will with TP, but I'm not anywhere close to dying for it. This generation is more or less dead. With the 360 out they're not exactly going to be moving consoles even with the release of TP, the best thing for them to do is make it a launch title for GC, and hopefully have another killer Mario platformer for launch as well. It would be a great combo for the systems debut, and would surely benefit them much more than releasing it before then. This is all assuming that the Rev launches Holiday Season of '06.

I never played all the way through MGS2, because the 3 discs I've had of it ALL got DREs. The sad thing is, it's the ONLY game I've ever gotten a DRE with... except it happened 3 ****ing times. One coppy I owned, one I borrowed from Kali, and one kenmrcha bought, and sent to me. >_> I refuse to buy another copy of it.
