Contest Stats and Discussion - Part 271

Personally, I don't think the head start is going to give the Xbox much of an advantage. I don't anticipate it having spectacular sales; not flop sales either - just pretty much ordinary. Outside of coming here, I haven't seen much at all to hype the xbox 360, but that could just be me.

I know it's just a few people, but it's still fun to watch.

Before this year the popular song was "no way is Luigi that weak", right? Looks like it became "no way is Luigi that strong". I could accept it if it was just Luigi owning KOS-MOS before getting atomized by Tifa, but Luigi held his own damn well against Tifa, too. So explain to me how can people still think he wouldn't double Lloyd with ease?
---
Q: Why was Chris Benoit kicked out of the gas station?
A: Because he was carrying matches.
From: HaRRicH | Posted: 11/14/2005 9:38:21 PM | Message Detail
KOS-MOS after a new game, no less. Considering that Zero got about 74% and Wesker got about 45%, I think there's no way Luigi wouldn't get the doubling.

Luigi's probably just a bit under Zero as things stand now, with Zero's apparent drop. Heck, I'd take even the Luigi who couldn't get 40% against Squall to get 65% on Lloyd.

I just got to looking at my Riku/Diablo match...if Riku = Diablo this summer, then Samus would have been expected to get 48.22% on Mario.

Luigi vs. Zero might be close, but I still have some faith in Zero. I'd back him to pullit off, barely.

As far as Diablo/Riku, well... the next time we'd have ashot at seeing that is likely after KH2, so Riku it is.

this is the slowest push to 500 I've ever seen.

anyway, the poll today is fun - we were at 25% for Europe at about 03:00 but 15% now - pretty much the trend that you'd expect to see. kinda reminds me of SF2/SMRPG..

I would say that Nintendo is stronger in America and FF in Europe. look at all of the FF10 characters and what happens to them in the morning hours, then what happens to all Nintendo characters during the daytime.

That's not just FFX characters; that's the majority of Square characters. Hell, CT wasn't released in Europe yet its characters and game generally follow that same trend.

agreed; I have a few friends in Europe, a couple of which have never played a NES and one who's never even played Mario 3. Nintendo just doesn't have the same dominance over there.

And before you get into all of this "I don't hate Sonic. I just despise his fans" stuff, save it. Acting like that doesn't make you any better than them. Anti-fanboyism is the worst kind out there, bar none.

Also, let's resolve a couple of things. First, the way you're writing it makes it seem like most expected Sonic to win that match. They didn't. Other than myself, MasterMage, and probably Smurf, there weren't very many who actually picked him to win. Secondly, you're talking like being unable to beat Mega Man means you suck. Yeah, the Mega Man who's been to three straight Final Fours (something only Link can also boast of).

Please give me a break and at least try not to let your bias show. It's pretty insulting as a Sonic fan when it seems like you're going out of your way just to be able to bash him/his fans.
