Explanation of Extrapolated Standings:
http://sc2k5.com/drupal/node/11

Simple Explanation of Extrapolated Standings:
A = Strongest Character
B = Character Weaker than A
C = Character Weaker than B
To figure out a character's Xsts Percentage ---> [(CvB)(BvA)]/50 = CvA
To compare how C would do against B ---> [(CvA)/(BvA)]*50 = CvB
To figure out how B would do against A ---> [(CvA)/(CvB)]*50 = BvA

For once. I have nothing to say. I haven't played any games in almost a month, since I'm separated from my game systems. This contest is over, so nothing much to talk about. So I'm just posting for the hell of it!

I don't play that many games myself - I've bought three this year. (likely to be 4 with DQ8 out soon). I've been slowly re-playing my old RPGs, but other than that I don't play stuff that much.

Put my not playing isn't by choice! ;_;

I was smack in the middle of playing Dawn of Sorrow, Jak 3, Metal Gear Solid 2... Getting ready to start on a replay of Tales of Symphonia. Replaying Ninja Gaiden. Getting prepped to give Knights of the Old Republic a chance. But I've been away from home much longer than I expected to be.

It's not mine. v_v As much as I manipulate my little brother, I couldn't get the DS out of him now that he has Nintendogs. PLUS he has my Castlevania down there since I can't play it.

He needs it though. We're still out of power down there from Hurricane Wilma (although we do have a generator...)

Yeah, I went and picked up Jak & Daxter and Jak II right before the Ness/Jak match just to hype myself up and find a reason to like Jak. Great games! Jak 3 is definitely the best one to me so far...

Jak 3 toned down the frustration levels of Jak II. One of the most frustrating things about Jak II was its lack of properly placed spawn points. Jak 3 was a bit more forgiving, although the challenge was still there.

I'm a lil' surprised FFX got so close to FF3/6, myself, no matter where they ranked. Add to it FF3/6 was the lowest-ranked of the Super Seven AND was the only one with a gap inbetween it and the Super Seven (a gap of three games, no less), and, well, maybe it really is beginning to lose its touch...?

I really do think that's a bit overblown. FF6 is still a top 10 game and had to compete with CT for a tournament like this. LTTP had no other SNES rival.

Heh, my under-estimation of LoZ:LttP is what got me. If I had switched it and Halo (I had LoZ:LttP at #9 and Halo at #6), I'd be at 14 points right now. Technically though, SM64 at #7 cost me a point more than what LoZ:LttP did, but losing that extra point was worth it to keep it on the list, heh...

...unless it costs me prizes or leaderboard glory. Then it's hellfire and brimstone.

Oh YEAH, baby! One point for SSBM, four points for FF6, three points for FF10 (darn... so close...), three points for GTA:SA, six points for KH (not quite, but it didn't get battered as bad as it could have been) for a grand total of 17 points! Not too bad... now, onto a little bit of analysis from yourd truly.

SotN ranked #15? Wow. OoT/GE SFF becomes really valid, and I'm starting to wonder if GE isn't really an elite in disguise. D2 only two places behind Starcraft... I'll take that. SMW BEHIND SMB1, and worlds behind SM64? Didn't expect that. GTA3 > GTA:VC? Interesting. Metroid doesn't really look like it's a force, with Super at #24 and Prime at #29... People actually got over their fear of voting Pokémon? Too bad they voted the wrong series at #28... Tetris at #34 seems really high, and quite close to LoZ to boot. People outside of this board still care about this game? WIND WAKER OVER MAJORA'S MASK OH GOD YES OH GOD YES! The first Metroid beats out MP2... darn you for only selling 500k copies. ToS beats Halo 2? I'm damn impressed. Speaking of which... Halo 2 at #85? Looks like not being on the drop-down list really hurt it more than I gave it credit for.

I'd really like to see a top ten character contest with this format, now. And I'd REALLY like to see the top 100 master list for that kind of a thing, too.
