I'm just mad that any game related to Mario whatsoever still goes for $14.99 and up still for N64.
Whoa, where do you live?! The only N64 games that I've ever seen sold nowadays for over ten bucks where I live have been the Pokemon Stadium/Snap games. o.O

I've gone and bought Paper Mario, Banjo-Tooie, WWF No Mercy, DK64, Perfect Dark, and I bought Blast Corps
I've been meaning to play PM, BK's cooler than BT, No Mercy is the ****in' ****, DK64 has its ups and downs, PD makes you a god among men, and BC is such an under-rated game.
Good deal.
---
Serious Reminder: Nominate Jay Solano for 2k6.
Why? He would die in your honor, then come back like Jesus...but without the religion part.

I know where I live, it's like that for Mario; I was gonna buy Mario Tennis used before, 'til I saw it at $25. I looked around and saw other Mario games like that, then saw LoZ:OoT for about $12 (gold edition, too).
Funny how that name-value thing works.

Miami. EBGames and Gamestops by my house have all the Mario Parties, Mario Tennis, Mario Golf, Mario Kart 64, pretty much all of the Mario spinoffs at around 14.99 or higher...

A funny thing I just realized; for nominations supposedly being so much
more against casuals than normal voting, three casual-hits have made
the list thus far (two of which are pretty big surprises). Also, for as
many people on the boards as there is that're apathetic about/against
FPS's, I never imagined there being TWO that made the list. Perhaps
casuals aren't against gettin' an account near as much as we like to
act like (or, to flip it around, just because you have an account
doesn't mean you care).....

I almost never played the N64 by myself. The beauty of that system was its wide array of excellent multiplayer games.
heh, I'm actually playing Ogre Battle 64 right now. excellent game, but very time consuming. but, yeah, other than Ogre Battle, Mario 64, Blast Corps, and Paper Mario, the N64 was pretty much for multiplayer games for me, too. the N64 really did take console multiplayer gaming to a never before reached level of excellence.
---
Jman_gamerX8 - i had no idea who this guy was until he whomped us all in the Guru Contest.

The only time I ever tried online Dreamcast was when I had a friend
over that was also good at Chu Chu Rocket, and we tried to find some
people online who'd play...but nobody was online to play against. To be
fair, it was a little-known game that had been out for at LEAST a year,
and very likely longer.

If you buy them through ebgames.com you can get 15% off all pre-played
games. It's not a bad deal and shipping is a flat rate ($2.49-$3.49).

SM64 - 16
SSBM - 12
FF10 - 10
Starcraft - 8
Mario 3 - 5
GTA:VC - 4
Super Mario World - 3
SOTN - 2
FF8 - 1
Pokemon R/B - 1
Pokemon G/S - 1
Mega Man 3 - 1
Super Metroid - 1
Sonic 2 - 1
Chrono Trigger - 1

not surprisingly, the faith in Starcraft dropped off after Goldeneye made the list. nothing surprising/interesting today, though I thought Mario 3 would get more predictions.

I'd like to see SM64 make it tomorrow and LoZ:LttP not make the list.
That's the best I can hope for with the way my list is, plus LoZ:LttP
is my least favorite of the Super Seven (if only because I never gave
it enough of a chance, which is something I've been meaning to do for
about two years now).

I'd like to see Mario 3 miss it - that's probably my least favourite.
either that or OOT - I never was a fan of 3d Zelda. I do think Mario 3
has a chance to miss the list, too.

I'd like to see Chrono Trigger miss the Top 10 just because asking for FFVII to miss it is asking for too much.

Got a question, since it's now a pretty common belief MGS suffered
moreso than it shoulda against FF7: notice this brings FFT up along
with it, as it's already been pointed out...also notice that, assuming
no under-performance was at hand, FFT would get 38:9% against FFX in a
2004 battle without SFF, so it gets closer to FFX as MGS suffered
more...so, my question:
FFT or FF9, who wins?

Just in case this matters to somebody -- which isn't to say this is
generally useless -- but FF9 has had three characters in the contests
before, one of which made it twice. FFT had one character, and he was
never to be seen again...not to mention he was out-seeded by two FF9
characters (maybe three, though he could have tied with Zidane
technically).

I'd pick FFT over FFIX, barely... FFIX may have had three characters,
but one of them is unknown, maybe SFFed, but probably just weak... and
another one lost to that... thing.

Heh.
I still wish Master Hand would see the light of another contest though, if only to be SFF-fodder. For as much as I loved seeing the glove pull the upset, I would love equally to see it get decimated by Mario in the first round. I don't care about stat-wise; Master Hand deserved to make the Summer 2k5 Contest more than Wesker due to the memory.

Meh. Everytime I think of that match, I think of this pic for Kuja.
http://kuja4ever.envy.nu/kuja%20blast.jpg
Leading up to the match, I went on and on talking about how Kuja had the "Master Hand" in that picture, and then went on to get owned... hard... Probably the hardest I've ever been owned on GameFAQs. I seriously thought that Kuja would be a miniature Sephiroth in the villains contest (i.e. at least be as strong as Kefka). That match saddened me...

Yeah, not to mention Wesker didn't do anything impressive at all with
Luca and had one of the lowest vote-totals we've seen since the first
contest.
Replace Wesker with MH and switch it and KOS-MOS. Lloyd would have caused many a board upset and Luigi could have made an absolute embarrassing out of Master Hand to match Tifa's 78+% on Vyse.
