I have San Andreas at #9, and it wasn't a very popular pick at all on the board. If it IS SA tomorrow, I'm going to mark out big time, especially since at least I'll have had one filler correct.

I had FF6 at #6, and Halo nowhere in sight. I'm much worse off, you know.

Yeah... we're screwed.

Well, at least I only missed Halo by one spot. I'm expecting SM64 or FFX tomorrow, personally. I wouldn't be all that surprised to see MGS, either.

As far as I'm concerned, the only possibilities are Starcraft, SMW and SM64 at this point. Or maybe another Super Seven game ranking too low.

Well, almost 35% of the site has the X-Box version, and it's only going to go up with the day vote (as opposed to today). Man, how hilarious would it be if more people owned the X-Box version of Halo than the actual X-Box? Still, 85%+ of all X-Box owners... that's a freaking hell of a lot.

TRAP QUESTION: Had Halo 2 been on the drop-down list, where would it have ended up?

TRAP QUESTION #2: Had the X-Box had a decent library, would Halo be as popular as it is?

But I didn't have FFVI or HALO in my "bracket" at all. I'm much worse off, you know..

Holy ****, your bracket is really being *neverending bleep as a picture of a Viagra pill is hiding my mouth*

And what's with the all-capping of Halo, anyway? Usually it's the drooling fanboys who do that. OMG THE HALO 2

FACT or FICTION: Outside of Super Smash Brothers Melee, no game newer than Halo will make the Top Ten.

Fiction, maybe (and this might be a big maybe) GTA: SA will make it. Also, this is an even bigger maybe to me, KH if you consider that decently new.

TRAP QUESTION: Had Halo 2 been on the drop-down list, where would it have ended up?

TRAP QUESTION #2: Had the X-Box had a decent library, would Halo be as popular as it is?

I think Halo 2 would maybe move up a spot and Halo would not be on the top ten. I still think Halo would be as popular if Xbox did have a good library

On another note I don't think any Metroid game will make it on the top ten.

Top Ten list Score = 0.
Next SM64 at #9
From: HaRRicH | Posted: 10/28/2005 8:19:44 AM | Message Detail
KH is newer than Halo and SSBM (if memory serves me right, Halo/SSBM came out early November/December of 2001, and KH came between the 2002 and 2003 contests).

TRAP QUESTION: Had Halo 2 been on the drop-down list, where would it have ended up?

TRAP QUESTION #2: Had the X-Box had a decent library, would Halo be as popular as it is?

#1: I'd say 7th or probably 8th.
#2: Nope, not AS popular, but it'd still be leading the way; it'd still have been what the majority of Xbox gamers were wanting when they got it.

Serious Reminder: Nominate Jay Solano for 2k6.

Ahead of FF6? Nuh-uh. The only Square we'll be seeing from here on in will be CT and FF7. Too bad, because KH was my "surprise" pick.

36% for the X-Box version now. Just you wait until schools let out...

And since it looks like we won't be seeing any write-ins on the main page, it's time to give them their due credit, as Slowflake presents...

Board 8's Top 10 write-ins

1. Tales of Symphonia
2. Donkey Kong Country 2
3. Valkyrie Profile
4. Disgaea: Hour of Darkness
5. Seiken Densetsu 3
6. Sonic the Hedgehog 3
7. Halo 2
8. Star Ocean 3
9. Katamari Damacy
10. We Love Katamari

Yes, and its sequel 28.82% 8686
Yes, on the Xbox 7.85% 2365
Yes, on the PC/Mac 9.16% 2760
No, it's just not my type of game 13.86% 4176
No, I guess I just never was interested 40.31% 12147

I wouldn't take much out of that poll option. I think it'd be funny if he put that in because he knew it wasn't #1.

the "Super Six" are the picks just about everyone had in their top 10s; it was "Super Seven" at first, with FF6 being the seventh. the other six are FF7, OOT, CT, SSBM, SMB3 and LTTP.

Super Six are the top 6 games from last spring, in which the lowest (FFVI or SMB3, I can't remember) is still a good bit stronger than the next game (SSBM). Those six are FFVII, OoT, CT, LttP, SMB3, and FFVI.

I think SSBM is the only game that can finish anywhere in the top 7 or so, although #1 is a stretch (I do, however, believe it has the best chance of upsetting FFVII).

Neither of those games will make the top 10.

I think tomorrow is going to be a surprise... because aside from the "Super Six" and SM64, I can't think of who else would be in their.

Most probably say Starcraft, but I don't think it will even make the top 15.
