Well, I do take some issue with the poll. While the sample size is excellent it's actually sorta biased. We get a heck of a lot more votes during the contest and those people would be more inclined to look, I'd bet, because if it takes a special poll to pique your interest you're probably curious as to how it's turning out as well. In addition to that, it's impossible to say how many people that picked "only during battles" look AND sometimes change their votes. That's the option I chose (cause it's the only time I look) but I also change sometimes (pity votes, bracket votes in very close matches).

I guess no one acknowledges this as "on-season" material.

Adventure, while the last in the X-Stats (or in my mind, which, screw that, actually matters, x-stats lolz, how can they possibly apply here?), it's a classic, and there's a chance it might finish better than it's less than 5% against LoZ. This isn't 1on1 anymore; it's any game's game....that made no sense. :-(

They don't apply here - however, when a game makes becomes the #6 FAQ page on the entire site for a day on the sole basis of people wanting to know what the hell they were voting against, this certainly doesn't make it sound good.

Besides, being a classic means absolutely nothing - heck, look what it did for Pac-Man, Tetris and Pong. And those are the classics people actually played to boot. You've seen which games carried strength in division 8: SMB3, LoZ, FF1, Metroid. The four that are from series that are still alive and kicking.

Meh... I don't think contest strength really matters at all, it's all about the noms. Nobody is going to pick Master Chief to be among the top in the x-stats, yet he gets a lot more noms than people who finish ahead of him.
