What's your problem with Midna? Her character design's the most interesting I've seen in a long time, and it'll be awesome to have a new playable character in a Zelda game.

Man, I can't wait for this phase to be over. Go play a good RPG, like Valkyrie Profile, or something.

VP's not that great; it certainly has far more flaws than FFVII does.

And this match has just broken into the top 20 all time vote totals. At 111550, it beats out Cloud vs Bowser 2k3(111372). It seems to be on pace to hit 12th place (Zelda vs Lara Croft 2k3, 113881 votes total). It actually won't be too far away from Link vs Cloud 2k5. The switch from Mario to Link might actually make things close.

Heh, looks like in the end, the Noble 9 is still Noble, and Clinkeroth is still Clinkeroth.

After the trashing that Mario gave to Crono 2 days ago, and the beat-down that Link gave to Cloud yesterday, I began to worry about Seph over Mario.

But in the end, Seph led Mario from pillar to post, barely losing any updates, if at all.

Btw, Seph's current percentage, is what he would've been projected to score on Crono in 2k4, potential SFF aside.

Btw, this confirmed what many people thought after Sp2k5, Ganon and Bowser were noticeably over-rated.

At Mario's current percentage, Bowser shouldn't even break 38% on Seph, let alone scoring 40.45%.

It's official now; both Cloud and Mario, not really to anybody's surprise, have gotten more votes losing in the ToC than Magus (who had the most votes in the first round and still lost, with 50,153). If Mario passes 50,479 votes, then that'll surpass Mega Man's vote total when he lost to Crono, thus making Cloud and Mario the two most impressive losers in the contest by comparisons of votes gathered...unless Sephiroth does better against Link than Mario is against Sephiroth, in which case that'd make them the top three most impressive losers in the contest. I suppose that's a testiment of both their strength and name-power.

MC cut more than double (maybe even triple) that against Frog, and the fact that he still lost only makes him a bigger bust. If anything, Magus is still going down as the biggest bust we've ever seen in one of these things despite only cutting 1,000 votes off. That's something.

I can't see why Samus is higher than Mario. Even before their match, Mario was far more impressive in ever single round. He drew in more votes than Samus in every round. Also, you'd have to believe rSFF is what prought Mario to that huge, huge vixtory over Samus.

If you're going to adjust the stats, I still believe that you should put Samus below Mario.

32.76% had Sephiroth getting to the Final Four in his division (as a two-seed), which included characters like Mario, Crono, Kefka, Alucard, and Kirby. Sephiroth then beat Mario about 62-38. While I don't have the list, I know for a fact Sephiroth was the second-most favored to win the contest in 2k3 (only behind Link). In 2k4, he dominated again until he faced Cloud. Then, in the Villain Contest, 76.51% predicted him to win the contest. To add onto that, we've seen how many/most of the characters who were in the VC have had larger-than-expected bracket support.

I'm not guaranteeing any particular number, but surely to God Sephiroth is goin' to have a LOT of brackets on his side today.

I only somewhat-seriously consider 80% 'cuz Sephiroth won the VC, which obviously alot of people has paid attention to in their bracket-making (from Ganon to Wesker, it's a wide range). Also, being in the ToC is intimidating for people to pick against, too.

In all likelyhood, it's probably not even over 75%...but still, the chance scares me.
