In case anyone's been counting, Cloud gained approxmiately 150 votes in each of the last 2 hours. If he can keep this up until 5AM(very likely) a 500 vote cushion and if he can hold this trend until 8am(unlikely) it'll be nearly a 1k vote cushion.

This seems similar to SC2K4. Link took the early lead, Cloud tried to make a small comeback during the earlier hours and came close to it, but Link took the early morning vote and was gone thereafter.

if he did that, then we wouldn't have Mario/Sephiroth tomorrow, which is still up in the air. i'd take two good matches and a dull final over two dull matches and a close final match anytime.
