Oh yeah Cloud's strongest point last year was from about 2 hours in to 4 hours in. Link's strongest time? 6 hours in to 8 hours in.

The "percentage of votes since the 5 minute mark" metric usually tells the story of where the match is headed, and right now Cloud is ahead in that 1,490 to 1,485.

I think Link is still a clear favorite to win the match, but at this point, Link ending up above 52% would be somewhat surprising; and Cloud still has a shot to win.

One thing that favors Link is the possibility that Nintendo's day/night asymmetry has increased from past years (e.g., Mario, whose daytime strength jump was greater than his night strength jump)

Yes, but Link was winning by a higher percent last year without those factors. So I feel that AC has an higher effect on this match than the Nintendo Boost/TP hype, thats why Cloud is keeping it close...

Cloud being this close to link, and mario not even getting 54 on crono I think means that ff7 has increased some and mario has no chance at sephiroth.
