Also, I agree with using Snake 2k3 now. I decided to do it by Crono before I compiled them. Snake 2k3 brings everyone down by around 1.5-2% which makes EVERYTHING more reasonable.

Also, Mario isnt moving because the afterschool vote hasnt started yet.

Here's the kicker... even if Bowser WAS overrated, Ryu's performance this year was still his worst ever, and Tidus remains relatively constant from last year. If Bowser's overrated, it's not by anything even worth discussing.

Okay, so once someone does something based on 2003 Snake, here's what to look out for:

1. Mario/Ness SFF. I adjusted him to a pseudo-SFF-adjusted 2004 value of 22.71% on BL and got a good response.
2. Mario/Samus SFF. Based on the match against Ganondorf, Samus probably remained constant from last year - although, that adjustment puts Samus 0.4% or so above Mario. Any other suggestions?
3. Snake/Sora. The mandatory one match that blows up the stats for no apparent reason. Even when putting Sora back up to last year's level, Alucard still seems a bit low.
4. Crono/Vincent. Whether we adjust Vincent or not is up for debate, but the other guys from the Devil division NEED an adjustment.
5. Megaman/Yoshi SFF. Adjusting Yoshi through a constant Laharl gives Yoshi a small boost, which makes sense given what the rest of the Nintendo representation did.
6. Yoshi/Pac-Man SFF. The only decent read we ever had on Pac-Man was in 2002, and even THAT might be a conservative value...

I really suspect that I'm gonna wanna make my own x-stats this year, hearing all of this talk about various adjustments for various characters. I honestly wouldn't worry too much about the stats this year though, 'cuz I can't honestly see them apply much next summer; we have a large number of huge games coming out to affect our biggest characters (along with the others who'll get games, too, of course), and there'll be THREE new big-name consoles coming out...we've never had a contest where a new console was introduced once our contests started. In fact, the closest we've had is the DS being released, and you can already argue for the impact that's had this year.

Adjust what you want, and I'll probably support many of them, but I honestly hope we don't take them too seriously this year since it's probably going to go to waste.
