I think one side should say 50.05 and the other side 49.95, myself. that's an ideal picture for me.
speaking of which, I haven't seen today's assortment of pictures... time to hit reload a bunch of times.

I'm actually hoping for Crono to comeback on Mario's ass Frog/MC style.
Just to see all the whinings on the board by Mario fans, throwing tantrums and accusations all over the place.

But you're conveniently forgetting that Crono is beating Mega Man
right now. The same Mega Man that took care of Snake for the past two
years!!! And the year that Mega Man didn't beat Snake, Crono himself
took care of him!!!
Yes, and? It's been established that things aren't the same year after year. If you disagree, then I'll just throw this at you:

We'll see tomorrow, won't we? Either way it looks to be good; the
Nintendo boost has certainly proven effective, but Crono was a full 10%
stronger than Mario last year...I don't think Crono's dropped any more
than a percent or two, meaning mario has 3.001% to increase by...I
think he's got that, but not by much. So I'm thinking 52-48 Mario at
the closest. Then again, my current baracket score is 104, I had
Kerrigan over Dante, Magus winning his division, and Samus beating
Megaman, and then Sephiroth in the tournament of Champions. So feel
free to completely ignore me.

ANYTHING but THAT!!!
There was massive vote-stuffing for Mario near the end of that match, I do NOT want either char win through vote-stuffing.
All I want is for this match to be epic, and legitimate.
If Crono somehow manages to win then all the better.

Why do I keep seeing adjusted stats with Samus over Mario? Sure, she
was SFF'd, but there's little indication that she's actually stronger
than Mario now.

I once made a sig bet with TRE that Ganon wasn't actually over 31 on BL. The jury's still out on the pigman, but props to TRE 'cause I'm a believer again.

think there's enough SFF to make it happen.

Samus wasn't as strong as she was last year.
Look at her match against Frog, and compare that to Seph's match against Liquid (who is roughly Frog's equal).
Seph did more than 5% better than Samus did!

(Indirectly stronger, but the weaker would win in a direct match due to
SFF)

So is Bowser if you look at it in that sense...
Be aware that Link >> Mario, and that the LoZ franchise has always been stronger than the Mario franchise.

That would lend even more credence to Bowser > Ganon. Even if you set Samus equal to Mario (and I don't believe that for a second), Ganondorf was beaten down more brutally than Snake was, and Bowser was nipping on Snake's heels. Statistically, it's hard to argue Ganondorf being above him this year, let alone logically.
That being said, we *need* to see that match next year.

There have been some ridiculous statements made while I've been in the
shower that I hope aren't sincere. The first being the thought that
Samus is actually stronger than Mario indirectly, the second being that
MGS2 wasn't (past tense stressed, as I'd believe that is likely to
change) legitimately higher than MGS.

I've had my doubts. Not that it isn't possible for it to be so, but FFVII overperforming on MGS wouldn't surprise me in the least.

Samus was solid throughout the entire contest, it's just that she never
had any legitimate opponent to measure her strength from before she got
to Mario. When the best thing you have is either a potential SFF or Frog,
you know you're ****ed. And it's not like Mario hadn't shown the
potential against Zero to beat her, especially since Mega Man went out
and proved Link SFF'd him (sorry for doubting ya, MM). In fact, the
only thing that DOESN'T suggest Mario being an absolute monster this
year is his match with Snake through SpC2k5...surprise, surprise...

Damn.. Crono is running away with this thing.. Oh well, Mega Man fought
hard for his 3rd Final Four appearance, and at least we get to see
Mario vs. Crono IV... Man, nothing can stop that fated match from
happening. Not even Cloud in 2k2 or Samus this year. Heh heh.
Hopefully Mega can keep Crono's lead under 2000 but a while, but, I doubt it :(
