Snake currently has 42.66%... based on 2003 Snake, this puts Mario at 42.08% on BL, just below 2004 Samus. Mario needs to get up to 57.63% to get to Samus.

Yesterday was lose-lose for me. I had to see one of my favorite characters go down. Though in this case, I really wanted to see Sonic win.

My bracket said MegaMan, but my heart said Sonic. I would glady give up my points to see a Mario/Sonic final.

Solid Snake or Ganondorf, who wins?

On one hand, Ganondorf would look like the winner in a close one if you were to bring up the Villain Contest and compare by Bowser. On the other hand, you would have to expect alot of combined SFF from Mario/Samus and Samus/Ganon to get him to be on Solid's level thus far (unless Solid drops alot further).

As for Smurf's derailing of the last topic, he can't seriously think that Shadow would get even close to 45% on Mario if there was a rematch this year. I'd be surprised if he got much over 30% personally

it's fully possible that Shadow would break 40% again; the difference is assuming that because Shadow broke 50% that Sonic would destroy Mario. Sonic himself would have a hard time breaking 45% on Mario.
