Point well taken.

The Dream & Gear divisions are gonna look fabulous if Snake avoids a snuffing by Mario.

Solid Snake is kicking some ass right now. I expected 56 - 44 when all was said and done.

Thinking about it, Harle could in all liklihood edge out 3 of those cahracters for an elite 8 spot. Quistis, Yuffie, and Crono could all fall to her.

I once made a sig bet with TRE that Ganon wasn't actually over 31 on BL. The jury's still out on the pigman, but props to TRE 'cause I'm a believer again.

Mario's getting into gear now, erasing virtually all of Snake's hard work over the last half hour. >_< Snake has to basically give it all he's got here to push this over 47% before the day vote hits, and from there it's just weathering the storm to respectability...

So, it's nice that he won that last update at least. <.<

Wow, Snake is doing a lot better than I thought. Mario might be able to bring it under 45% with the day vote, but it won't be easy, I think.

For the record, Mario through Snake (Sp2K5 Bowser) = 37.87%, barely even above his 2004 value.

Snake through Mario (adjusted Zero): 42.40%

Kirby (unadjusted) - 36.10%
Kirby (adjusted) - 40.11%

I don't really care what Mario does with the day vote. He's not pushing anywhere close to 60% here. Heck, he's not even close to that on his updates right now.

I figure he'd probably collapse almost as much as he did against Bowser. Meaning Mario could theoretically end up with about 57%.

I dunno. Mario should be doing his best right around now since we're closing in on the morning vote, and few of his updates have breached 57%.

Yes, I do take comfort in that today's day vote (and voting in general) is going to be significantly front-loaded, so the worst should be over relatively soon. From there Snake can coast to respectability...respectability!

Having examined the results so far, here's my prediction of what the x-stats will turn out like. (BTW nobody has a shot aganist Sephy now.)

1. Link
2. Cloud
---
3. Sephiroth
---
4. Mega Man
5. Sonic
6. Mario
----
7. Snake
8. Crono
9. Bowser
----
10. Samus
----
11. Tifa
12. Vincent
13. Squall
14. Zero
15. Dante
16. Knuckles
17. Ganon

Adjusting it, I'd push Samus into 4th and Ganon into 11th.

54-46 at the start of the day vote? I can take that. However, if Snake came back to his 2003 level, then Mario/Samus may have been our first case of rSFF, and a big one at that, based on this.

Crono could be the weak link of the Noble 9 this year... he's performed as such in his last two matches, at least. Sonic and Megaman all had their moments, and Snake was solid all throughout the contest.
