The 'suckitude' of a picture isn't what I think hurts a character, not at all. What matters, IMO, is recognizability. Frog had it when Snake didn't, Bowser had it when Snake didn't. It's what keeps it open as a potential factor.

Wow, what a match. I'm *FINALLY* caught up with the stats topic. I had quite a day today. After a full day of classes, I attended a cool lecture with the creators of Penny Arcade where they did an awesome Q&A session followed by making character sketches and giving them out to the audience. After that, I finally saw Advent Children, and lemme tell you, it kicked some major ass.

I think those thinking how about there wouldn't be a great deal of people of voters who thought Mario > Snake > Bowser. If you already voted Snake over a character as popular as Bowser, I'd assume that most of those people should vote him for Mario. Like only 5% of the Snake voters like Mario more than him...
