Sonic is the Noble Nine master of choking at the end of matches. He did it against Samus and now he's done it here.

Crono was worse. He had a substantial lead over Mario and blew it away in the final hour of the poll.

yeah, Donkey Kong definitely reaffirmed that title when he blow that 2000+ vote lead against Master Chief. and Master Chief would be up there with DK.

I thought his match vs. Duck Hunt was worse. He had a 3000 vote lead and 70%+ of the brackets behind him. He almost managed to blow it all away.

If Snake gets 45% and Mega Man reaches the finals, there's no doubt in my mind that the Solid one would rank #2.

Incidentally, Mario would have to pull 68% on Snake for Yuri to not end up as the weakest character on the top half of the bracket (replaced by Manny). Provided that Mega Man/Crono is fairly close, Mario would need a similar percentage (~67-69%) on the winner of that match for Laharl (and then Pac-Man/Ocelot) to fall under Yuri.

So I think it's safe to say that Yuri is the weakest character in the contest, at least before we do any SFF adjustments. And he'd still manage 10.2% on Mario.

It's boosted him up to ~35%BL, if Sp2k5 Bowser is any indication, which is certainly better than 33% last year but not as good as 36% in 2k3.

I hate to sound like Chichiri, but I think you guys are potentially overestimating the pic factor. Now, I'm still hoping it did have an effect (and there is precedence for a fluke performance in Frog/Snake, though perhaps not for the same reasons), but I hardly think that it made up any more than a half percent or so.
