Alright, it appears Sonic is making this match closer, but Mega Man is going to stay ahead.

Vote for Mario, this year's contest champion!
Mega Man > Sonic
From: RPGuy96 | Posted: 9/16/2005 6:03:29 PM | Message Detail
Sonic received 50.24% of the vote that hour (previous: 49.85%), and averaged 6 votes/15 min. If that rate were to continue, he would take the lead at 22:40.

This is typically when the second night vote starts, so let's look at the six matches Mega Man and Sonic have been involved in:

Yoshi: Mega Man gained .58%
Leon: Mega Man lost .05%
Conker: Mega Man gained .12%
Tifa: Sonic lost .69%
Diablo: Sonic lost .49%
Jin: Sonic lost .34%

You know what? If Sonic wins, which for some reason it's looking like he will, I am never trusting anything related to stats in any way, including time zone votes and GFNW.

Nobody would "trust" GFNW if he were up against, say, Mr. Driller.

People just assumed that because Sonic lost the Night Vote to two chumps and a Square character he'd lose it to MM in what may go down as his most important match ever.

I am never trusting anything related to stats in any way, including time zone votes and GFNW.

You know, I think Ceej is fully aware of GFNW and decides to put him in a match that he knows GF will lose, but will also appear that he has a chance to win it. I wouldn't worry too much about GFNW faltering...

Just because a character is fodder doesn't mean they can't be "relatively better" with the Night Vote. You'd think a character like Laharl would be decent with it, in comparison to the day.

Just like Vyse, right? Didn't stop Tifa from gaining .25% on him. And she gained quite a bit on Luigi, too. Nintendo generally is not that good with the second night vote.

Yep...

5 Hours and 50 Minutes Left...

Thats 70 Updates...

70 * 3 = 210

If he only shaves off 3 every 5 minutes, he loses by nearly 90 votes..

Sonic needs to shave off 4+ per 5 minutes..

Yoshi: Mega Man gained .58%

Nintendo and the second night vote don't mix. It's usually one of the worst times for a nintendo character
Leon: Mega Man lost .05%

RE is usually good at night and bad during the day, so this makes sense, although it doesn't help make MM look strong with it.
Conker: Mega Man gained .12%

I'm not even sure about conker, so I won't be guessing.

Tifa: Sonic lost .69%
Diablo: Sonic lost .49%
Jin: Sonic lost .34%

Square (even new school) and diablo are generally good with the second night vote. Nothing here really shows that he's terrible with it.

But FFVII's strongest time is at the second night, isn't it?

No, it's generally the day vote that they're at their best. Pretty good with the second night vote, but not spectacular.

In other words, anything beyond the morning vote. Tifa had odd patterns compared to them though. She was good with both night votes.

...Where's this night vote everyone said got here 30 minutes ago?

Those were the turkeys. I say the night vote gets here in 45-50 minutes, with Mega Man gaining upon its arrival, and you can take that to the bank.

If Mega Man continues to gain for the next few updates, I plan to Orton Pose for a very long time.
