What an abysmal update by Sonic... 170 votes? Ouch.

Why should I care about my bracket anymore? I lost 56 points Tuesday.

correct me if I'm wrong (and I probably am...I don't know what the points are per round..>_>) but...did you have Samus beating Link?!

Not a particularly good update for either of them, but enough to get Mega Man over 500.

yeah, I just checked it. Ignore me. >_>

I had her going past Sephy, strangely. If Mario had been on the other side of the bracket she might have done it. (Mario might lost to Crono again, and Samus would beat Crono)

On the other hand, if Crono is really that weak it still gives him a chance to crack through. If Megaman was owning Sonic it'd be more worrisome, but he's about three percentage points short at the moment.

I didn't see anyone post the final stats for the third quarter of the bracket, so here they are:

Crono - 50.00%
Vincent Valentine - 44.62%
Squall Leonhart - 44.09%
Dante Sparda - 41.05%
Knuckles the Echidna - 40.74%
Magus - 40.04%
Master Chief - 38.71%
Donkey Kong - 38.10%
Tommy Vercetti - 29.15%
Kefka Palazzo - 28.49%
Sam Fisher - 26.85%
CATS - 24.13%
Terra Branford - 23.40%
Zidane Tribal - 23.28%
Geno - 22.19%
Sarah Kerrigan - 18.74%

Hmph, Master Chief > Devil Division, huh? Not even close, and not even half.

Kefka beats Terra with 58.93%, by the way.

heh, I just did the stats an hour ago. shoulda posted em.

MM/Sonic/Crono is interesting. they might all end up within a percentage point of each other.. and if MM gets to the final, they could all look like crap.

I don't mind if Megaman wins, but this has to be the closest match in the contest. Sonic and Megaman (Maybe also Mario)>>>>all

The thing is, Crono was at his very best last year when he faced Magus. This year, according to pre-adjustments he wouldn't even get 36% on BL.

Wow, I didnt expect mega to take off. Im looking at his vote pattern and theyre too irregular. Stays at 160-70 then all of a sudden gets 200+ out of no where..

Of course, that's working under the assumption that Magus didn't drop as well. Regardless, I don't think Crono took a large enough drop relative to Magus to make a nearly 10% difference.

Fisher's been a real oddity this year, that's for certain. We attributed his overperformance against DK to his new game, and then it turned out DK was supercharged this year.

Wow, Sonic takes the night, Mega takes the morning, Sonic's... *gasp*... best time. I told you Mega does not suck with the day vote. Not at all. He's just slightly better at night.

I expect Mega to rip him open during the after school vote, Zero dented Mario pretty good at that time.

Mario/Crono IV it is, at least thats what my bracket says :)

And I would take Chief over Magus, with them being so close and Chief being a monster with the day vote I'd have to go with him.

MM just passed 700, he's putting on some steam now. If he gets over 1000 I have some doubts about Sonic's ability to overtake him enough to stave off the night vote.

There's no real reason to think Sonic's taking the after-school vote anyway. Neither one of em are really infamous for it, and Mega Man's coming in with the advantage, so my money would go on Mega Man taking it by default.
