Explanation of Extrapolated Standings:
http://sc2k5.com/drupal/node/11

Simple Explanation of Extrapolated Standings:
A = Strongest Character
B = Character Weaker than A
C = Character Weaker than B
To figure out a character's Xsts Percentage ---> [(CvB)(BvA)]/50 = CvA
To compare how C would do against B ---> [(CvA)/(BvA)]*50 = CvB
To figure out how B would do against A ---> [(CvA)/(CvB)]*50 = BvA

I don't mind the scenes, but the graphics on the DS can't exactly do Xenosaga very well.

Where did you get it from? Through your provider, or off of a website? I ask because I have been searching for the intro music as my ringtone ever since I heard it play off this kid's phone in the mall a couple years ago.

And if you actually didn't do it, but are only typing it because Vincent is 'overperforming' well, then nevermind.

Heh, Crono's doing alright here. And to think I thought he would start *losing* ground at this point. Guess Vincent's day vote doesn't have the edge one might think compared to Crono.

Then again, I may have to eat those words come the after-school vote...

So has anyone tried to figure out this new voter demographic? I know we've established that's where the Nintendo increase (and the general vote total increase) came from. But since it's not that they're voting for anything and everything on a Nintendo Console (see: Chrono Trigger) it really seems like our new surge of voters is coming from...

little kids with Gamecubes...

The change in voting trends come in part thanks to the initial Gamespot link, and in part due to Square not releasing anything noteworthy since 2002. With no reason to come here, there's less Square fans, and more Nintendophiles with the onslaught of the DS and KILLER APPS like Hello Kitty: Roller Rescue.

I actually expect casual gamers to be greater fans of the PS2 and Xbox. Of course, it could be just a Gamefaqs thing. Or it might be the DS causing more Nintendo fans to visit the site.

That's been my thought, although I would think it's just kids with next gen consoles. Because to be quite honest and putting down all pretense of bias, (anyone who knows me knows I worship square) SSBM is probably the best game on any next gen. console.

Perhaps Vincent is just benefitting from Advent Children, but if not, Crono's in serious danger since Sonic got 56.40% on Tifa.

I doubt squall > luigi, if is, very close. Why? Because the year squall won was in 2k3(strongest square year), squall has weakened since then a bit. Luigi along with nintendo have gotten a huge boost. Vincent barely stronger then squall, I'd give it to Tifa.

Well, its not a good preformance by Crono.

There could be some rSFF going on, but not likely.

I dont what the LOL X-stats have to say, but Squall I my logical view, Squall would get 40% on Crono.

maybe a little less due to SFF.

So seing that Vince and Squall are pretty equal, Vince is getting more than he should.

Just FYI, Squall 2k3/2k4 would be expected to get 32.37% on Crono 2k2. If Crono widens the gap, it could end up close to that, but if not, it's looking like either Squall rose (unlikely) or Crono's down below his 2k2 levels (incredibly awesome).

If he can't own dante or squall then he isn't. Crono has just gotten weaker, why can't people admit it? He has nothing going for him besides a 10year old game. Do you really expect him to stay so popular when a lot of the people on this site probably started on the ps1-n64?

If you take Vincent based on Dante's strongest year(which shouldn't be too bad since it should be one of Dante's best years with DMC3) and Master Chief based on Face CATS, both performances match up perfectly and put Crono around 35% on BL.

It's a pretty big spill for him, but it still puts him within striking range of Sonic and perhaps Megaman. I wouldn't call him the favorite though.

From: therealmnm | Posted: 9/15/2005 11:05:10 AM | Message Detail
I mean, just based on what the fanbase is I could have seen this coming. If you're still clinging to the x-stats, then this might not make a lot of sense. BUT if you just take into account who the characters are and who would vote for them, it makes perfect sense.

I don't think this means that Crono is much weaker at all. This is a SFF match, and I could see fans of both siding with Vincent. Especially seeing that he was expected to lose, this could very well be another bandwagon effect by those wanting to see Vincent end off in this contest well...

Solid Snake: 51387 votes (50.59%)
Bowser: 50191 (49.41%)

This match was just as close as Vincent/Squall in percents, but Solid Snake had a bigger lead on Bowser.

Just a little while ago Vincent barely beat Squall who would have no reason to increase (and is showing no signs of it it) whatsoever. An Advent Children leak couldn't of done THAT much for Vincent in such a short period of time, and Crono already looked weak again MC with the rest of the CT characters looking weak as well. I think we should just assume Crono is weak until next round.
