Well, to be fair Crono's pretty good with the morning, and it's one of Vincent's weakest times (Squall passed Vincent right around this mark, IIRC). He'll be recovering ground during the day, unless for some reason Crono's day vote trumps his more than the disparity between their night votes.

Man, I am really pleased with Vincent's performance here. He's doing far better than I anticipated at this time (41%), but it's great to see him doing so well. I actually think this speaks more of his strength than it does of Crono's weakness. We'll find that out soon enough.

But a very impressive match here by Vincent, he's all over this match.

Never really understood why Crono was strong. Mario, Link, Mega Man, Sonic, Samus and Solid Snake were to be expected since they have mass games and many people know them and like them. Cloud and Sephiroth come from the game that made GameFAQs, but I don't see why Crono is that strong. I thought he would go 50/50 with Dante in 2k2. (like the rest of the board)

In a sick sense, would be interesting to see Mario vs. Mega Man in the Finals, in which Mega gets SFFed badly there. Then, to have Mario beat Sephiroth and only to get royally reamed by Link in the final match. God, the entire lower half of the bracket will look so ****ed up, I now wish to see it.

you know, I woke up and said "I bet it's 56-44, Crono" and voted. considering Vincent's from FF7, I'm really not surprised by this. I'm not even sure this is Crono being weak as much as Vincent being strong and from FF7. CT, as well known as it is, is old Square, after all.

therefore, I'm not exactly counting Crono out vs. MM or Sonic. I think it's a tossup between those three.

no, I think Vincent has a much better chance vs. strong characters than Squall does. just look at Cloud-Squall for proof. (not that Vincent would do any better, but Squall's from a different game.)

You forget that Cloud vs Squall was basically FFVIII vs FFVIII. Obviously, the SFF would be ridiculous. I don't see Crono, for example, SFFing Squall; he'd get around what Vincent is getting now. :P

You can't use Cloud/Squall as a comparison, that's about as big a case of SFF you're ever going to get between two completely separate games...because Squall is eternally compared to Cloud.

fair enough.. I still say Squall would be at least 3% lower than Vincent is right now, though. when a weaker character from a bigger series goes up against a stronger character from a smaller one (like Samus/Ganon), they do respectable. I don't think Squall gets that luxury.

that said, is this performance convincing people that Vincent > Aeris > Tifa? I say no, they're all equal.
