"there will always be claims of cheating"

Yeah, some of the newbs are kindy lame 'round here. Like they've never seen a contest before. Kinda sad.

I once made a sig bet with TRE that Ganon wasn't actually over 31 on BL. The jury's still out on the pigman, but props to TRE 'cause I'm a believer again.

SC2K5 Guru Contest: Where _______ kicked my ass.
From: HaRRicH | Posted: 9/14/2005 3:37:00 PM | Message Detail
I just skimmed the Spring Contest, and it looked like Bowser lost the night vote to every character he faced; some more than others, of course, but nonetheless never won it. That means Sephiroth, Revolver, Sigma, and Pyramid Head are better at night than Bowser.

I feel better already.

Hypnotiq and Sprite, then? >_>

Hypnotiq by itself??? How.... soft! <_< A Bowser victory deserves nothing less than Hennessey or Crown Royal!

And that update was not nearly as "suspcious" as some of you are making it sound. He's shot up like this before, but while this one may have been a little larger, it's nothing that just suddenly came out of nowhere--as though Bowser hasn't received something like this in the match before.

When Bowser gets 324 votes in an update when he's been getting around 275 for the last hour, you have to admit that it does seem a bit out of place.

Oh, so THAT's what Ulti meant. I always tend to forget that contest. Especially since I had just done Snake and he wasn't in that one.

Well, if this match really does get intense in the next few hours, we may as well throw the "night vote charts" out the window. It'll come down to which fanbase is more devoted.

No better or no worse than last year.

It just makes Kirby look like top 15 material. He might even get as high as 12th when it's all said and done.

Hypnotiq straight is pretty good, and it messes you up pretty fast as I've learned.

Whiskey, I'm not so favorable towards. Irish whiskey, sure... the rest not so much.

Even at this rate he won't have much of a lead before the night vote. Bowser still needs to take the advantage in the second night vote to win.

No, actually - it's fine. It would be more than fitting that Slowflakes curse can fail again today right along with the Noble Nine collapsing.

Bowser was also called to lose against Kirby/Bowser, too; Kirby just didn't have enough time...

...so Bowser's got some carry-over curse from the last round built on top of this, too. Bowser's ****ed.

Vote for Bowser in SC2K5!
From: Zaphod H | Posted: 9/14/2005 3:54:01 PM | Message Detail
Heh, updates for the past couple hours has Bowser having these "valley" updates, vote increases around Snake's overall average (~260 per 5 mins) for short periods of time, then beasting it back up to the 290-300 vote per 5 min.

It'll take a few more updates to see if Bowser has truly slowed down.

Y'know, it's amazing. I pimped time after time how Bowser had an excellent shot at making this a tight match and I now find myself screaming from the mountaintop on how Bowz has no chance to win.

But still, you're doing great today Bowser. Make 'em sing for their supper!
