Fall of the X-Stats? Bowser > Snake IS the X-Stats pick. @_@

That depends on how far you're willing to stretch them, I would assume.

It's not anti-ulti pills, but you've made it like we're xsts fanboys in here, and honestly, I think we're much more levelheaded and reasonable than that. Maybe the rest of the board is a bit more extreme, but you sound as if there's still some xsts faction somewhere, clinging desperately to pages of numbers on fictitious characters...

Spring 2005 Bowser is ahead of 2004 Snake by a sizable margin.

Spring Bowser > 2k4 Snake, right? Heck, you were the one going on about how valid the Spring X-Stats were after Bowser/Ryu. The only thing that suggested Snake was going to take down Bowser, X-Stats wise, was Snake/Sora, and Snake could have overperformed or Sora could have underperformed for whatever reason (except SFF >_<).

And, um, well, it looks like that Nintendo boost accounted a lot more for Bowser and Ganondorf's exceptional spring performances than franchise voting. These two really served us doubters a slice of humble pie.

I don't even want to imagine what Diablo would've done to Ridley without that boost, by the way.

Yeah, I was just totally off base too. This match just proves that Bowser was never a contender, yo.

Bowser would not SFF Ganondorf. Ganondorfs fanbase is Zeldas. Not the general Nintendo fanbase that character like Mario and Bowser have. Anyone who would vote Bowser over Ganondorf isn't a real Zelda fan.

And another thing, Do you have a life outside this site? I mean, You are married correct?

The following text is by TheAmazingOne, so he gets COMPLETE credit for this. I am merely posting it because its covers pretty much anything on the "get a life subject." And I mean everything. So... here it is:

"GET A LIFE"

You neither know anything about nor possess any authority to comment on the life of anyone posting here. "Get a life" is probably the oldest, most overused, and most uncreative internet flame there is.

You cannot exlain at all under what authority you have the right to suggest that any other poster "has no life". The fact is, you have no such authority. Telling people that they have no life or to get a life is simply crap. Complete crap.

Of course, clearly we all know and acknowledge that everyone else here is literally alive. So what is meant by suggesting that a poster lacks a life? It suggests, rather, that the poster does not conform to your particular idea of a life. Who knows what that is... but it seems that the general image of a person who "has no life" is some sort of cooped-up internet addict who does little in actual life but spends way too much time online. Often this is associated with "nerds" or with having no friends. It appears that deep within all of us is the hidden fear, and perhaps guilt, that we are associating with these "nerds", these anti-social rejects. In the end though, reality must set in for all of us:

No one here is an anti-social reject. No one here is a "nerd", or at least not in the aforementioned sense of the word. And almost certainly, everyone here has relationships and participates in something besides message board posting. Everybody else is just like you. No, you are not the sole internet message board user who has a job, or good grades, or a girlfriend, or whatever it is that's important to you in qualifying for "having a life".

What surprises me the most, and frankly pisses me off, is the audacity, even arrogance, that some people have, to make unreasonable, arbitrary conclusions of a poster's whole biography and profile, classifying that person as a "nerd" or antisocial or as someone "without a life", and all based on something that said person posted. There are a few things you need to realize here.

First of all, IT'S JUST TEXT! Even if it is representative of the thoughts of the posters thereof, simple text messages are not reliable enough to make such aforementioned conclusions about a person.

Second of all, YOU ARE NOT UNIQUE! You are not the only poster with a job, or who has a girlfriend, or who does well in school, or who participates in a sport, or whatever. Nearly everyone here is in some type of situation like that. Everyone is just like you. And if just posting on a message board is enough to take away a person's "having a life", you're just as much guilty as all the rest of us.

Geez. I am so ****ing tired of these posts. You have NO RIGHT to tell anyone that they don't have a life. EVER. So shut up. If the internet is so full of anti-socials and "nerds" then maybe you, who clearly "has a life", should stop coming here and return to your wonderful "life" that we all must envy, clearly evidenced by what we posted!

Snake by the hour:
15:00 | 48.79%
14:00 | 47.91%
13:00 | 49.26%
12:00 | 50.43%
11:00 | 52.10%
10:00 | 52.40%
09:00 | 52.38%
08:00 | 50.63%
07:00 | 52.48%
06:00 | 51.29%
05:00 | 50.64%
04:00 | 50.39%
03:00 | 57.92%
02:00 | 55.93%
01:00 | 54.90%

Bowser needs 43.47 votes/15 minute update to win. Over the last three hours, he has averaged 48.42 votes/update. He's on pace to take the lead at 23:00 based on that.

Of course, in all likelihood Snake gets the night vote and that isn't an issue.

Yeah, you missed the part about Snake returning to his former strength. Still, congratulations. No idea how you called the Nintendo boost (and if you say villain contest, I say, off TWO characters?), but you did.

BUT, I betcha anything that no matter how we try to adjust Samus, Ganondorf still ends up ahead of these two.

But I have been hit by the ever-so-clever "Get a life" routine! Clearly, I must prove that my internet wang is bigger than everyone else's! Because after all, anyone that bothers pulling out that tired insult is guaranteed a decent personal life amidst all of the Solid Snake plushies.

Ahead of who, Bowser and Snake? Ganon/Snake is not a match I would want to call at all, given today. As for Snake, I didn't think MGS3 would make a difference. That's underestimating the casuals for you.

The ideal scenario for me is for Snake to win by one vote. Bowser does exceptionally well, and we get a half-decent read on the second quarter of the bracket. I win both ways.

I wouldn't like to call Ganondorf/Snake either, to be honest. Ganondorf and Bowser have always been closer than they've been given credit for (that should make you happy, I remember a conversation we had a while back about that), but the way I see it, the only decent way to adjust Samus is through Auron, and I think this sends Ganondorf quite high. I just hope it doesn't push Samus higher than Mario though, because there will be a LOT of complaints.

Snake performed like crap with it last year against a character that is likely weaker than Bowser is. The problem is that CT in and of itself owns with the night vote, and Bowser... doesn't.

Guys, how's Kirby with the night-vote? I know he took it against Bowser...but still, I don't know if he's done so hot with it in other matches. I realize Solid's not that great with it, either, but it's only to his advantage if Bowser's not good with it as well.
