The point with Mega Man being affiliated with Nintendo could be that a large number of Mega Man fans went on to buy Nintendo systems. After all, his Battle Network games are much more popular than his Sony MMX games.

I *believe* that MMX was his best-selling title, but I'm not *completely* sure about that. IIRC, MMX and MM2 were the only titles in MM's career that sold over a million copies.

So, after this and Snake vrs Sora as well as Frog MC and Liquid all being over estimated after a match with 'Solid ****' no one is thinking the pic factor can create a huge difference in rare occasions? I never believed it would be possible before this year, but now I don't know.

If sonic can get 42+ on samus last year, which he was weaker, he can beat megaman. Megaman got 38 was it on sephiroth second match? sephiroth is only slightly higher then samus.

I believe that we should just forget completely about last year's stats after this contest is over. You got SFFed? Put a star beside their name on the stats sheet. That way, we don't even have to bother with these damn adjustments taking place.

The only thing that the picture can influence is the "swing vote". As in the people that are either thinking "I like Snake and Zelda, I don't know who to vote for" before the picture loads up, or the people that are thinking "who the hell are these two?".

So Snake wasn't winning many votes from either of those groups, but the amount of people who clearly liked Snake more than Zelda outnumbered the people who clearly liked Zelda more than Snake by enough that it didn't matter. But it could have.

Obviously someone's not going to say "Man, Snake rules so much, but he looks so ugly, I'm gonna vote for the cute little girl instead!"

Anyway, if Sonic = Mega Man that means Luigi beats Yoshi with 60.85%. Well it can probably work to varying levels of effectiveness. I can personally vouch for it... well not entirely. But for Pac-Man vs Ocelot this year... I was nearly swayed to vote for Pac-Man because I was "pretty sure he'd lose" and because he looked so much better, despite liking Ocelot alot more. I would have too, if Ocelot had been beating him decisively. But I held back my vote because I wasn't sure.

So maybe alot of people did that for Frog vs Snake. "Frog looks way better than Snake... and Frog's cool... not as cool as Snake... but he's alright, I'll just for him... not like Snake's gonna lose anyway".

Who knows, really? All I know is that it's not going to influence your vote if Snake is your favorite character, or if you don't like Frog...

It's not like Zelda's picture was that great either, in all honestly. I would have given her a slight advantage at best.

So there WAS Link/Mega SFF...but recent matches proved there to be little to no SFF in strong Nintendo character matches. Maybe it's just a Mega Man thing.
