Since I'm not fond of Tidus, I'd probably be looking for someone to upset him. I just didn't think it would be Kirby. I've also been an advocate of Luigi being underrated, although I haven't been nearly as vocal as you... Luigi > Tidus would have been pretty tempting to me.
