Yoshi pulling the unthinkable on Monday will be the biggest highlight.

Nah, Knuckles beating Magus is one of the highlights of the contest.

Ding ding ding; in fact, it's THE highlight.

I don't think Mega Man/Sonic is a lock one way or the other, but Crono certainly looked vulnerable against Master Chief.

Should Vincent pull this off -- and it looks pretty good right now I would say -- then I'll have a contest where the person I supported actually did what I said he would.

Hot damn for a change. <3

Mario would touch Sonic in a place or in a way that would make him feel uncomfortable. Or, to put it in different terms, he would kick Sonic's ass, break his legs, and pound his face in all at once. There's no way anyone gets close to the Mario/Samus winner this year in the main bracket.

Crono might 'struggle' with Vincent...which means in the worst case scenario he lets him get 46-47% on him. Vincent ain't coming close to Crono.

What would Squall need per update to win this?

Master Chief's rabid day vote happened.

Just for the sake of curiosity, Crono based on Master Chief through Spring CATS stands at exactly 35% on Link. That's low enough for Mega Man or Sonic to win.

Question: Will Vincent break SSBM's record for lowest percentage for a division winner (7.16%)? It'd be pretty impressive if he did considering he did it in one fewer match. SSBM only had 14.18% going into its divisional final though.

35%BL is low enough for, like, Ganondorf to win. That doesn't seem right for somebody who beat Mario decisively last year.

I think that higher votals have the potential to hurt Crono, and badly.

Of course, 2k3 seems to contradict that theory, but you also have to remember his competition--Tom Nook, who has never been verified, and Kefka, who is both weak and was SFF'd to all hell. So then you just have his match with Mario, who appeared to stay constant.

However...with all the talk of what CT sprites did for Magus and Frog, is it out of the question Crono overperformed with his sprite as well? That would also explain why he beat Mario so easily in 2k4 with both a sprite and lower vote totals...

Just another crazy KH theory, everyone. Pay no mind. ; )

I think that higher votals have the potential to hurt Crono, and badly.

Considering BOTH Mario vs. Crono matches are among the highest totals in contest history (not just the one where he had his sprite, mind you), I really, really doubt it. He'd drop for a different reason.

Mario v. Crono I is potentially tainted. Depending on what you believe, CJayC may not have taken off enough votes from Crono to begin with.

And when I say it hurts Crono 'badly', that might be a bit of a stretch. I don't think he's fallen to where Spring CATS projects him. But I wouldn't discount a notable decrease.

But how many stuffed votes could Crono have possibly gotten? He still would've been within 1% of Mario. Higher vote totals don't bother him at all. I just don't buy it.

And I conceded this match a while ago. I haven't been paying attention for a while.

Spring FACE puts Crono too low because of MC's pic. That was the strongest MC could be. It was not historical MC.

Let's not forget that. Crono supporters should definitely be concerned, but he's above 35%.

This is not over, this is not that large of a margin. It's certainly "cheatable", if nothing else.

Though it is quite unlikely that Squall will come back, since there's not much reason to think he'd have much of an edge with this second night vote.
