Contest Stats and Discussion - Part 243

Of course, I can dream that CJayC will slash away 1000 votes from Vincent due to that, but it's not going to happen.

Anyway, deceent update for Squall. This time due to him not doing poorly. :)

Now I know that picture votes are few, but in a match like this, does anyone think that the KH Squall model would have helped?

I'm of the belief that FF8 > KH here, and Squall was a much bigger part of FF8 than KH. Therefore, I wouldn't think so, though I don't know the FF8 and KH fanbases all that well.

Well, we haven't really seen how FF8 apart from KH has done in these contests other than Squall's showing in 2002...and that's not the best of things to do, IMO. However, if KH gave Cloud and Sephiroth such massive boosts in 2003, I can't imagine it doing less for Squall, who is FAR more prominent than them both, and probably the most memorable FF character in the game. Squall probably got the biggest KH boost out of anyone.

How was fighting Sephiroth one of the selling points of the game? I hated Squall's guts in FF8 and even I found him somewhat cool in KH.
From: Karma Hunter | Posted: 9/10/2005 4:35:30 PM | Message Detail
*SPOILERS*

Selling point or no, Sephiroth is a freaking optional boss fight in Kingdom Hearts. Leon is far more prominent, and improved Squall's image greatly.

seer, it hurts more to be close and lose, then to not be close at all.

I am also a Pitts. Pirates fan, and Atlanta Hawks fan,

The Eagles hurt more than either of those teams.

Looks like today was a good match, for the most part, but Vincent should continue to increase until possibly the second night vote kicks in. Good job, Squall.

Assuming Squall ends at around 49.50% or so (which seems likely, shouldn't be much fluctuation since there hasn't been all day), the Devil Division stats:

Vincent Valentine - 50.00%
Squall Leonhart - 49.50%
Dante Sparda - 46.00%
Knuckles the Echidna - 45.73%
Magus - 44.94%
Terra Branford - 26.22%
Geno - 24.90%
Sarah Kerrigan - 21.00%

Man, talk about a top-heavy division. Dante would be expected to get 50.29% on Knuckles. There were a lot of ways you could've arranged this division and still get good matchups.
