I think we are looking at Vinny V getting up to around a 300 vote lead, then Squall begins to fight back.

I'm barely more than indifferent to Vincent and am completely indifferent to Squall...therefore, I root for Vincent. What's sad is that I'll have voted for him in every match he's in (counting Crono if he wins today); outside of Knuckles, Vincent was just in a division that I care next-to-nothing about.

I dislike both characters, so to me the closer the match the better. my bracket is utterly destroyed, so there's nothing for me to cheer for except a close match.

I can't really fool anyone, can I? Not that that's new or anything. I've been considering leaving for a while now, and still am, but that has nothing to do with Sonic whatsoever.

Though, Shadowdude does ask an excellent question:

It's a shame too, considering how often other characters are excitedly praised, too. I don't see why it's just Sonic that irks him.

Because for whatever reason, out of my favorite characters, Sonic is the one whom people like so much it's unhealthy. And it's rather... unnerving. No human being should be allowed to like anything, even if it's strawberry pie, so much.

No one cares about a 3 vote gain so unless he gains like 20 votes I don't think the topic would really care.

And unless Squall starts doing something big here, he's gone. He can't let an FF7 character catch the day vote on him, because he'll never recover if he does.

That could have been a wonderful conversation.

Random Guy: So, can you do me a favor bro? Go to www.gamefaqs.com, and vote for Vincent Valentine. He's from FFVII. It is a really close match, and I really need Vincent for my bracket.

Dabu: Gamefaqs you say? <sees '50' for account level> Nope... don't believe I have ever heard of the site. Who's this Vinny again you want me to vote for?

Dabu, you should have let him see your account status. If he follows GameFAQs closely at all, you would have become his hero.

Though that does raise a serious point about how vote-rallying may be more widespread than we think.

No doubt this happened on both sides, but if I had been on vacation for Master Chief/Frog, Master Chief would have won. I voted (at college), my parents voted (at home), and I solicited 11 votes from friend's for Frog. If Frog is missing those 13 votes, MC wins by 6. Food for thought.

I would've expected better from the stats topic than to count their chickens before they hatch.

"It's over, Halo wins."

"Kefka has this. Vercetti can't come back."

"Master Chief has this in the bag. Frog let him fly past him without a fight."

And that's just three examples.

Well Slow, you know we all love you and don't want you to go. I'd suggest just taking a small break and seeing what happens. My honeymoon was the best week of my life, and it's no coincidence that it was a week spent off the internet. Since I came back home, everything has been fine.

Not that that's related to you, but you get the idea. Best wishes and all that.
