I always call 55% a good match. Just because the winner isn't in doubt doesn't mean that I don't consider it boring. I've seen characters get beat 55-45 then go to being equal in a year's time (Kirby/Jill sorta thing) and so I actually think 55/45 is a good match. Hell, not a single match in the gauntlet underperformed my expectations. That's me though.

I agree. I think 55 is the limit of a close match. Anything over and I don't consider it close anymore... not to say 55.55 isn't close, but you get the idea.

Yeah, it's just something to think about because Vincent went about even with Dante throughout their entire match, with his increasing coming from that second night vote more than anything.

Well Dante/Vincent went exactly 46/54, at this point Vincent had a lead of 307, which is a little bit more than double. So it's on pace to be extremely close, as if you didn't know that, but my point is why are people shutting out Squall's chances?

Yep. He was at his highest point about six hours into the match and then kept slowly dropping percentage until the finish line.

Dante isn't nearly as good with the night vote as Squall, obviously. You have to take those things into account. Dante's best time is always during the day.

See as people were saying that Squall would disprove the theory that Knuckles is (one of) the day vote king(s) and he failed that, I'm going to bet that his day vote might get over rated. Dante lost about as much last year in his matches against Sonic and Tails in the day as Squall did to knuckles (a little more against Sonic, a little less against Tails... obviously this is also influenced by character strength). I'll call them roughly even, maybe a sligth advantage to Squall.... not enough for the win, though.

no one with a brain is calling a match with a 100 vote lead after 90 minutes. Vincent would have to start building a lead and show no signs of stopping for me to call it.

Ratchet seems to win the day vote against everybody. Remember Luigi? Yeah.

(though he obliterated him), and down about 2% on Tails. Dante's not good at the day vote.

He was held to a little less against Sonic. Sonic characters in general tend to have pretty good day votes.

Squalls highest percentage on Geno was 76.14% at 6 hours and 10 minutes into the match, his lowest percent after that was 74.99% at 13 hours and 40 minutes into the match. From there on he increased his lead and then fell back down to 74.99% at 17:35 minutes into the match. From that point to the end he gradually decreased to 74.84%

I don't think he really lost the day vote to Geno.
