I think Mc's shown enough times that he's not as bad with the second night vote. He lost it to Frog, yeah, but at the tail end he kept it close, and he never stopped gaining on Donkey Kong come nighttime.

Slowflake said something about this match showing Luigi might have increased along with the other Nintendo characters. So if Luigi became stronger, then Tifa's performance wasn't all that terrible. Something like that.

What he was saying is that if Sonic scores 60/40 on Tifa, then it shows the Luigi pretty much had the same jump as the rest of Nintendo, and not an insanely massive jump.

Luigi obviously increased, just like the rest of Nintendo--this match doesn't tell us jack about that. What Slow meant was that if Sonic beats Tifa 60/40 that means that Luigi only got the Nintendo boost that everyone else got, instead of the otherworldy boost that Tifa through constant Vyse and Luigi through constant KOS-MOS seem to suggest.

Tifa still ain't looking too great.

Well if this is a legitimate strong MC showing, then DK would have increased. Meaning the only Nintendo character that hasn't shown a notable boost is Samus. And to a lesser extent, Yoshi. But Yoshi did do pretty well anyway.

And Samus didn't go up maybe because she's already "topped out" already >_<

So the Nintendo+ theory may not be so bad afterall. And there'd be no reason for Luigi to be left out of the loop.

He's consistently split it pretty evenly with Mario.

The same Mario who lost a lot of ground against Zero and Shadow the Hedgehog with it. He didn't do a thing with it against JC Denton or Joanna Dark. He lost ground against Bowser and Ness somewhat with it.

Mario's morning vote is good. His day vote...is not.

I'd probably give the edge to Sonic, especially if the margin of victory was impressive (ex. both Sonic and Mega Man win with 60%). It seems to me that Mega Man would have an easier time swaying Yoshi's fanbase than Sonic would with Tifa's. Nothing more than a gut feeling, however.
