Heh, the Kirby vs. Bowser pic is decent, but Ice Climber Kirby won't get much votes on pure coolness... If he got a Link hat on... now that would be nice... Bowser looks weird too, that's not even a Melee pic, and I would have preferred the pic being at Fountain of Dreams... ah well..

I must have seen MC vs. Crono right when it came up... because I changed the URL and there it was, and then the topics came up. I've never seen a pic that early before. It's a decent pic, though. Is Crono reflecting that blue blast or what?

Kirby/bowser pic = amazing.
The only complaints I'm hearing is that the pic seems a little awkward but people don't realize that it's not easy to find and photoshop and angle like that. I guess u could use SSBM Bowser and get a good diagnoal but I'm sure that'd be off as well.

Crono/Master Chief is pretty damn good as well.
I'm not complaining but the clash of swords just doesn't look right there. And I'm getting tired of that look for Crono. However, saving grace is that the Chrono Trigger "C" is used for Crono.
CJC would be pimp if he wrote his name using those C's.

Personally I don't like the MC/Crono pic at all. Crono's being crowded out of the frame, and the background makes both characters kind of indistinct. Plus there's the "getting blasted in the face" factor, which is never good.

I'm not seeing much of a 'blasted in the face' factor, but that's probably because I've been weaned on Snake/Mega Man 2k4 for examples of that. It's just MC's plasma blade versus Crono's sword. I thought it was kind of neat.

You have got to be kidding me. "Pic coolness" doesn't go, "hey, Kirby has a Link hat on, and he has contest strength, so that picture is cool. Let's vote that way." The picture is visually impressing and just the fact that Kirby has an absorbed power is a creative explosion. Kirby is recognizable, showcasing his powers, dangerously cute, and in action - that is pure coolness.

1 last note about this round's pictures.
This goes largely unnoticed because of how small these pictures are, but the text for the names have been superb this round.
Mario being written colorful SMWesque, the way it should be, Zero's Zorro like Z, Samus' sexy little S, Sora's mini keyblade symbol, Kirby's star in the b, Crono's title "C." All amazing.

I like Kirby/Bowser, though I'm not particularly fond of that look for Kirby. The fire and ice clash is pretty cool though.

It would be great if it were in another round with less awesome pics to live up to, but it's my least favorite of the third round pics so far.

Good to see Snake maintaining the doubling.

As for bracket support, Samus's may have been low, but imagine how pathetic Crono's will be. He had the lowest second round percentage and now he's facing what could be the most consistently overestimated character ever.

Just to support Bowser here, this match against Sora doesn't erase Snake/Zelda or Bowser/Ryu, and I always thought Ryu > Zelda, and even still, Bowser still did a good 3-4% better than Snake.

Anybody who's played Halo 2 would know that Crono is about to be ONE HIT KO'D! PLASMA SWORD! I wonder if Master Chief used the Rocket Launcher/Plasma Sword glitch. <_< But seriously, it's really not that great of a pic. Master Chief doesn't really have that much of a home field advantage. It looks just like a random field. Ceej should have at least had some Marines and Covenant fighting in the background or something.

Master Chief is probably going to get raped in this match though, WORSE than the stats suggest. Crono will be the strongest person that he has EVER faced.
